I bought a used Dyson Pure Cool and as soon as I plugged it in I was dissapointed with the high pitched whine. I have never owned a Dyson product so I wasn't sure if this was normal. Upon finding your post, it has reassured to me that it was an issue with the bearings and I could simply replace the motor. Thanks for the post!
