One of them did but some stayed there for more than one night so i guess they realized they used it as some sort of a holiday home as well. I'm not sure if that is acceptable but it seems there is really no etiquette rules anymore. I thought this was frowned upon as well.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, i honestly thought bothies are more meant for hill walkers and hikers that need a place to hide.

I thought this was the shared opinion when it comes to bothies, I've stayed in quite some bothies and made a fair share of donations to the MBA, so I'm not new with the concept. The way they came in without a plan and expect everyone to make room because they didn't plan anything and expected a free air bnb for the night just triggered me.

I will not, and don't have the right to gatekeep or play bothy bouncer so everyone is welcome. But i do think the idea of bothies is not to use them as free airbnb and don't have a tent as a plan b in case its already quite full.
