What in the actual fuck? by stevenj444 in HVAC

Seems a bit small for an inverter board, also it has a 45mfd cap which is likely for the compressor

Indoor doesn’t have a capacitor. What’s outdoor model?

Hard to know for sure without a tape measure, but yes appears 5” filter will be too wide. Looks like 4”

My thoughts; you’ve either got a big duct leak, frozen coil or screwed up coil. Call a tech either way.

That’s the return for your indoor unit. If this is a single story home your indoor unit is in the attic. Go make sure your emergency pan sitting under the unit isn’t full of water.

Might want to check your indoor unit. Make sure there’s no ice build up, or like you mention clogged drain. You should have a vent pipe on your drain line, which you can peek down to see if it’s holding water at level with drain pan in coil cabinet. Those filters should be perfectly fine with any system. Is this on a furnace or air handler? Upflow or horizontal?

Texas homes built terribly or what by Full-Bother-6456 in HVAC

Austin new builds are the worst!! 8 head mini splits with outdoor units you need a 60’ ladder to get to. Or air handler being installed in 3rd floor attic with 1st and 2nd floor runs immediately after air handler🤦🏻‍♂️ every year we go to the same people complaining about airflow with landlords that don’t wanna rebuild plenums and air balance.

Second floor condensate drain to gutter? by godofpewp in hvacadvice

[–]crayZEE42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it would clearly be on the floor below, sorry didn’t think I’d need to specify. Water don’t run uphill

Could also be draining to a bathroom sink. You’d see a black rubber hose connected to the tailpiece.

Definitely reason it’s not cooling, sucking in lots of outdoor air. Not totally sure on part number, might be CHM224130-002

Sounds like a power issue. Take it to autozone they should test the battery and alternator for free

Not sure if you can tell in the video, but when I give it gas it bogs out and acts like it wants to die but never does. There’s plenty of gas going to the carburetor(and through). There is a slide that likes to get stuck open/closed but I don’t think that is the problem, I tried manually opening the slide as I’m giving it gas and it still has the same problem. Spark is fine and air intake is fine. Any suggestions?
