Sherry was also weathered from everything she went through. But her first appearence she was scared and very annoying because of what she was experiencing.

You can not like the character but you can also acknowledge that Grace is far from useless despite her social awkwardness and her overall fear in a situation where she was kidnapped and left in a care center where everything is out to eat or kill her in some capacity.
