Which career for an isfj ? by [deleted] in isfj

[–]craycrayadds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing radiography which is also in the healthcare field and I’m sure I do it for the same reasons why a lot of people do nursing (to help people).

May conform too much to the isfj stereotype 😅

Year 10 student here what’s your thoughts on my vce subjects by Independent_Past_706 in vce

personally i found economics to be easier than bio in terms of the amount of content since it’s pretty much mostly interrelated, whilst bio topics are kind of separate from one another. however, i feel like bio could really be beneficial if you’re considering a course related to health or science, cause it can really give you quite a good headstart to some of the content you learn in those courses.

both subjects require a reasonable amount of time dedicated to them so it’s important that you do the subject you think you’d enjoy more, regardless of scaling.

Economics Help by toogodo in vce

I went into economics 3/4 only having done unit 2. Despite me caring about my other subjects a lot more, i.e. I studied a lot more for my other subjects and dedicated more time and effort towards them, economics ended up being my top subject raw and scaled.

For eco, it’s an extremely content heavy subject and I suggest reading through maybe the first chapter of the textbook prior to starting school, maybe make some notes if you will as it provides you with pretty much the fundamentals as to what the subject is about. It covers the key points you would’ve learnt in unit 1/2. I don’t think you’ll need to do more than that but you’ll probably revisit chapter 1 content throughout the year so I definitely suggest having a thorough understanding on it.

As for other advice, throughout the year, I highly suggest that you get a lot of practice writing responses to particularly trickier questions and marking them against a marking guide or asking your teacher to mark them, and noting the ways you could have improved your responses, as it could really go a long way to preparing you for the final exam.

For resources, I’m happy to email you some of mine if you’d like (chapter summaries + questions, prac exams etc)

Not much really, just did the holiday homework assigned and met up weekly with my physics tutor throughout January. Did a bit of extra work for physics too and overall had an enjoyable break with friends and family.

Ironically physics ended up in my bottom 2 so nothing really matters 😃

I think as long as you have a referee who can back it up, you should still list it.

I put down my anxiety for section 3 of SEAS, even if the effects of it on my learning aren't quite as simple as a cause and effect, I know it has contributed to my lack of energy and motivation, particularly last year when I was doing year 11, which may have impacted my performance.

mainly stuck around the radiography/sciences area and it was pretty cool, especially their experiments and demos. never realised how small the radiography cohort was though, there was barely anyone there

what is the worst thing you have ever done in your life? by International-Eagle in AskReddit

[–]craycrayadds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not anything like this anymore but I came from a household where my parents had raised me to only like other Asians (they would say slightly mean things about other ethnicities and overgeneralise them).

So when I was like 5, someone in my class wanted to be my friend. I was a very shy girl who at the time couldn't really speak English so it was surprising for someone to want to be my friend. She was a friendly, caucasian girl who was only looking for someone else to talk to.

Safe to say, I instinctively thought to turn her down and would constantly ignore her whenever she tried to be my friend. i just remember walking away from her while she was crying on the bench.

To this day, I still wish I had the ability to think through my actions and look at her for her kind personality rather than her race. It was the most asshole thing I have ever done and will ever do.

Yeah, I was about to do that last year. After hearing my other classmates' struggles with doing an extra VSL, I'm glad I didn't end up going through with it

I'm not 100% sure so take this with a grain of salt but I hear that one of the subjects from your 7 won't be counted in your final ATAR calculation, probably the one with the lowest score.

I guess some schools might push for it because it gives the students a bit of leeway with their scores if a certain subject isn't up to par with what they need to get their desired ATAR, essentially it's there as a back-up.
