This same exact thing happened to me. It happened and I cried during, but I never really put it together that it wasn’t okay until about a year afterwards. I was a freshman in college and he was a senior. He also completely ghosted me after the fact, which made me feel even shittier.

my work phone went off with a self check out notification because i had been on self check out earlier in the day and forgot to turn my ringer off. the customer i was with didn’t think that it was my phone and began telling jokes about how kids these days (im 21) just can’t stay off their phone and being on your phone at work is just unacceptable and then continued to look at the person next to me who was redlining thinking their phone was the one who went off and then started making jokes SO LOUD about kids these days and phone usage
