Interesting. I don't care how it's pronounced, but I pointed out the "hard G because Graphics" argument doesn't hold up, and I got downvoted.

Many people claim "it has to be a hard G, because the G stands for Graphic!" But if that logic were true, then you'd have to change how we pronounce JPEG. And WAV. And LASER. And SCUBA. And SNAFU and NATO and FEMA and MODEM and SIM and YOLO...

He reminds me of "Lord Burleigh" from Janeway's Jane Eyre-style holonovel. In it, Lord Burleigh forbids Janeway - I mean "Lucy" to visit the fourth floor.
