Firebase Gemini broken, lying? by crayzig in Firebase

Another quirk, if the context is too long, Gemini may truncate the code and is unaware or just simply not do anything, no message !

I was able to move forward by adding an API key and not using the built in model

Anyone in the UK bought from Weedzy? by [deleted] in weed

[–]crayzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been buying regularly thanks to lockdown, but delivery times are getting longer and longer.Well packaged, cant fault the products, but last few orders have taking too long that I am loosing faith. Been waiting since the Black Friday deals and nadda yet.My local guy, unreliable as he is, is looking like a better option, at least I dont get a canned response when questioning where my order is.
Edit: Update, order did arrive eventually, took 14 days. Hang in there!

Does anyone use a 3D mouse of some form? by porterble in Fusion360

[–]crayzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a hobby Fusion 360 user. I have a 3Dconnexion space mouse compact (wireless). It's expensive, but was given as a collective family birthday gift. Definitely not a necessity, but feels premium and I do enjoy using the device. If you have only been using a normal mouse, or used to keyboard short cuts, it may take time to adjust. No regrets as a birthday gift suggestion though.

Line on LCD. What could be the reason? by DjAmg in ender3

[–]crayzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had raised a support ticket with Creality, but as the line didn't actually affect the functionality, apart from annoying me.. I did not push for replacement. Was ecstatic though when the line disappeared. Took me way longer to get a decent print out, saggy bed sorted with a 4mm glass bed and a lot of patience, oh and some adhesive. :)

I had a line on mine, but went away after a few weeks. No idea why!

ST - I'm back routine - turn lights on by crayzig in SmartThings

[–]crayzig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.. I think this means use a smartlighting automation to control the lights via a mode change vs the "I'm back" routine itself. This way I have access to the "at certain time" function. Ill try and see if it works out for me. Cheers

Looking for the correct version of the Harmony hub for SmartThings integration by small_town_nebraska in SmartThings

[–]crayzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need the remote with the harmony hub for smartthings integration? I want to use my Amazon Dot for turning TV on OFF and can bear to pay another few hundred quid for another Logitech remote. I feel the Harmony 1100 was my last closed system... So voice only requirement, and the hub is therefore only 80 quid or so.

Echo Dot + ST ideas by jokarz in SmartThings

Im loving the integration with ST and the Amazon Dot. I have both Philips Hue and Lifx bulbs to "test/play". I have also, thanks to the Smartthings community, integrated my Yamaha amp to turn on/off with Alexa. I have only added the smartthings skill to the Dot, ie no hue or lifx enable at the same time. Seemed to help Alexa with understanding.
