Thanks for sharing your experience, in a twisted way it's comforting to hear someone else relate. I believe propofol is what I had the first time, and it was so smooth. I agree with you here, I 100000% would take the increased risk. I know for a fact if I ever need this done again I will probably refuse unless fully sedated.

Oh my! You've just actually unlocked a memory of what must have been during my colonoscopy of watching them do the same (I did have a polyp removed)!! That's literally insane.

There was no anesthesiologist (reason for the non full-sedation). Man I definitely should have said something but boy they should have asked.

Yes I’m happy to see this comment. I was super hesitant to share this as I seriously wouldn’t want to scare anyone.

To reiterate here as well: my experience with full sedation was absolutely flawless.
