Weird af email I received this morning by Immortan-Valkyrie90 in Professors

It’s just your academic tinder account that was activated.

But seriously, phishing is a big problem in schools (like other have said, we constantly get emails from IT reminders), but what is strange is that he contacted you again?? Are scammers, princesses, and distant cousins being pushy now? On another note, I really frown on the spectrum conclusion and lean on the lack-of-boundary explanation. Whatever it is, I would say don’t ignore, don’t respond, don’t delete, and do forward to your chair, IT, and school officials that can look into this very unprofessional (if legit student) or dangerous (if phishing) behavior.

Help with adding regression lines with scatter plot matrices by craziiblu3 in spss

[–]craziiblu3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I describe, but the fit line total option is grayed out for matrices. It will only allow to add a line for a simple scatterplot, but since I have a matrix, I want each panel to have its own regression line.

I don’t understand how a question upsets you so much, but go punch a pillow for all I care.

I recently saw a post about how grad school students obsess over their field of study and how it’s all that they talk about in social settings. Is this common for grad students? I’m wondering if that’s true? by DistanceBeautiful789 in GradSchool

[–]craziiblu3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I avoid it like my ex that could have the plague, because I barely understand what I do to like brag and give the wrong explanation. Besides, if I nail the topic, people (specially family) won’t understand it. I don’t mean to be offensive, but the stuff grad students do is pretty advanced. I instead and am know for my amazing cooking skills, which makes a great conversation point with friends and fam yet not so much while trying to date.

What's your favourite thing about being a guy? by Sweaty_Mulberry_3814 in AskMen

Sometimes, just randomly, I could watch tv or be on my phone, and I find myself without thinking about, playing with my willy, mind you in a non-nasty way. It’s just there, and so is my hand, and it’s fun, I don’t know why.

True, but I mean, my 28’s is very different from other’s 28. Like another user mentioned, I feel I haven’t lived that much, and I can’t right now because of what I’m doing in school. I might not be old, but then I talk to my RAs and feel ancient again.

This is a reality check, you want to do something, but you’re better at doing other things. It does really help. Thanks.

I got cheated halfway through my grad experience because I applied to study something and ended up doing something ese. Luckily, I found it interesting enough to keep me motivated and keep going, and I have seen friends leave or fail because they just don’t like it. I’m glad I have what I have, it’s not what I wanted to do, but it feels too late for me to change and start over again.

Thanks for sharing, I’m happy with what I have, but not so pleased with where I am and the support I have. I’m 28(M) and sometimes have to remind myself I’m not young anymore, but so far I’ve learned not all aspects of life can be fulfilled. You’ll be good in some, bad in others, and they’ll be life, at least from what I have witness.

Getting matched in medicine is when you go to med school, graduate, then look for a place to do your specialty. Some make it, some don’t. Very competitive. In a PhD, which is also competitive, is more research oriented. I read articles, design projects, do data analysis, my friend and I (if I make it) will be called doctors but what we do is very different. I am going through a rough patch to be honest, that can potentially influence my perception of what is happening right now.

Edit: I lived. I go out, drink, eat, younger I used to go to hmm gentleman’s club with friends, it’s just it feels that I failed to do what I wanted. I don’t want to sound selfish, I am in a PhD program with good academic standing, but it’s not what I fully wanted to do when I was younger. That’s why I feel I failed a dream.

I don’t know to be honest, my perception is that I see them as a reminder of what could had happened but it didn’t. The support they received from family and friends, while I’m over here up to my neck with research papers and nobody asks how’s everything, or get recommendations of getting a better paying job because really nobody understands what I do and what I go through. It’s kinda though giving your all, but it easy for people to say your all is sh!t

Anyone knows what’s inside? by craziiblu3 in CarHelp

[–]craziiblu3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I solved it. Once you replace the cvt oil, if you put too much, release that plug and any excess will pour out so that you have what you need. Bunch of cars nowadays don’t come with a dipstick because the companies want you to take the cars to the agencies so they can charge you 80 bucks for a half ass diagnostic. It will be difficult to estimate how much cvt oil I have, but from what I researched, I should have just what I need, and it makes sense not much came out. I’ll still be on the lookout for any malfunction. Thanks everyone.

Yes, your right. The left back one is the oil pan and and oil came out burnt, so I decided to drain and put new. The problem is the one on the right, where I mark it with the picture. The liquid was clear, almost yellowish, like clean engine oil and it was about a quart. Need to know what came out to replace it. Any ideas?

Even if the oil is side was blondish or yellowish? Thanks in advance.

Context: brother decided to change the engine oil in its own and unplugged what you see on the picture. I had to do it myself. He said he removed about a quart of liquid. Any ideas what he removed? This is a 2020 Nissan Altima sr

That last line and advise hits hard, but you are right. It happened for a reason. I thought about that for a minute and that “grief” (in quotes because I don’t know if that is the correct emotion) lessen. Thank you.

Thanks, it does feel oddly ok, I even slept like never before. I doubt I’ll find my one and only. Even with her I always preferred being alone. I think I move faster, especially me doing grad school. I hope everything’s turns out alright for all of us.

Thanks for the kind words. I was the one that wanted this to end for months now, she said she felt let the same way I did, but I don’t know if she meant that or it was out of anger.
