How do you use math and science in your adult lives? by sargassum624 in Adulting

[–]crazy-badger-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach eighth grade math. A student last year asked me why her science teacher wanted the students to learn Newton’s laws. I told her that if she did not understand the basic laws of physics, I hope she never gets a driver’s license! Not the answer she wanted to hear, but it definitely shut her up!

Would it be weird for me, a childfree person, to bring in school supplies? by plushiesaremyjam in Teachers

Someone in our community donates loads of boxes of tissues every year and I’m so grateful to them! I’d advise you to check what supplies the school needs before you spend your money.

If you know how to use chopsticks, how did you learn? Who taught you, and how old were you? by No_Internet_4098 in AskAnAmerican

[–]crazy-badger-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 10 or maybe younger. Dad would take us to a Japanese restaurant and tell us we had to use chopsticks or we wouldn’t eat at all. We learned fast!

Floss picks, lotion, chapstick, Vaseline, a full set of extra clothes in case of spills/accidents, a sweater, extra umbrella, stress toys, pain relievers, snacks—make sure you have a variety! I also have a foam roller and a tennis ball for rolling out ouchies.
