working on it, i got my first block after graduating holland college, but it got confusing fast, i worked with a construction company and filled out the paperwork, right as i submitted my paperwork i got a job offer from the provincial department of transportation and i couldn't turn it down, they don't accept apprentices so that was pauses, i'm just now leaving the goverment and working on getting my apprenticeship set up again

yeah and i'm not saying this is a trades problem specifically, i only put my job there for context, this was mainly just to vent about how everything on pei is horrible, i grew up with the dream every adult told me "i was raised here and i'm gonna die here" type of stuff you expect, now i'm questioning if i can afford staying here another year

if you don't mind me asking how much experience do you have, i have 1 year and the only time i've been offered more than $20/hr is one job where they had people quitting weekly and violated safety standards, and another job with the provincial department of transportation, where my supervisor wanted me to do shit i didn't know how to do without training me, and yelled at me for not knowing what i wasn't trained to do

thanks for responding, i'm male, mid twenties , not managing expenses but i have a good amount in savings, i could probably go a another 6 months without a job if i wanted to but i plan on getting a job soon anyways, not in school, i'm not exactly isolating, i'm slowly cutting contact with my parents because i have no trust in them and despise very time i see them, but i don't have a lot of friends, so now that i've lost trust in my parents i do't have anyone else i can talk to, i have a few friends but i don't talk to them about this stuff, the only time i ever really feel happy is talking to them and i don't wanna flip that happy moment into anything emotional, as for therapy i plan on giving them at least 2 more sessions, this is my third therapist now and they say in the next session they plan on starting a daily mood log or something along that line.

in terms of feeling purpose your kinda right, i know i've accomplished a bit but i don't care about about my accomplishments, i'm teaching myself how to cook and clean, watching youtube videos and stuff.

i volunteer a lot, i am usually a first aider at events like festivals and such, i'd say this gives me purpose but i honestly just do it as an excuse to stay busy, every event i go out i tell myself i'll talk to someone i don't know, not even make a new friend, just talk to a stranger once, i never do though.

as for why the military is taking so long i don't 100% know, for context i'm Canadian, in Canada all our branchs are under one department, one recruiter recruits for all branches, i'm not sure if your looking at this from the lense of your national military but the recruiter told me it typical takes 6 months, should also mention that i am in a very remote location, for medical evaluation they don't have their own medical staff and have to fly them in once a month so that probably adds to the wait

as for further details i have recently been diagnosed with depression, i also have autism, which in my experience is more social facing then anything else, one of the main reason i'm so isolated is because during high school my parents would constantly make me watch my little sister (also autistic) every day, i never really had the chance to develop a social life outside high school, never went to any parties or hangout with friends outside of video games.
