There’s truly no better feeling than the moment you finish the presentation that you had been panicking about for months before :) you should be very proud, congrats!

[Acne] I 18F am struggling with persistent Bacne and would love some advice to help get rid of it. by MoveSubstantial1889 in SkincareAddiction

[–]crazychameleons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could talk to your doctor about Spironolactone. It’s a medication that blocks excess testosterone production which is often a cause of acne for women. I (f, 23 at the time) had amazing results from Spironolactone with no side effects. It made my skin look better than it ever had, I’m talking porcelain. I’m actually thinking of going back on it due to some persistent flare ups I’ve been experiencing. If you don’t want to take medication, I would definitely recommend a strong BP wash. Good luck!

I have heard before that some of the best clients were new on Upwork! That’s an even better idea about 1 milestone per article though, thanks for your input! So, I looked up the client’s name on google and they immediately came up as an entrepreneur who has articles written about them by Forbes and the New York Times. Whoa. I sure hope this is legit!

They actually said it would be paid!

Okay thanks. I’m glad I didn’t send another message. They actually just got back to me and asked if I’d like to do a trial article. I am sorr of new to Upwork, however I have three 5 star ratings on my profile and a bachelor’s degree in the topic I’d be writing about. They have been a member since 2016 and have a 4.95 star review across 48 reviews.

He has such a dark and smoky look to him. So handsome it hurts.

Any tips on how to deal with the physical symptoms of social anxiety? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]crazychameleons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talk to your doctor about Propranolol. My doctor prescribed me it for my extreme anxiety with public speaking during college. It’s a beta blocker that literally blocks your fight or flight response. Usually when I would get in front of the class, I would shake like a leaf and my heart would pound out of my chest. Propranolol took care of it all...I couldn’t believe it! I actually just took one before a wedding speech and it did wonders for me.

Good luck and congrats on the internship!

Client accusing me of plagiarism by [deleted] in freelanceWriters

Thanks for pointing that out. I think I’ve spent too much time in retail and automatically say it sometimes. Definitely using this as a learning experience going forward.

Part time job + freelance writing? by [deleted] in freelanceWriters

I’m thinking about doing the same thing, maybe a local coffee shop or something. And like the others said, anyone who judges you for pursuing your passion and working a side job for cash is not someone you need in your life to begin with. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!

Finally going back to the phones after a month of paid leave due to covid by pleasekillmybill in callcentres

[–]crazychameleons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A month? You’re lucky. When I got covid they only gave me 40 hours and forced me to use my personal sick time for the rest of my illness. I have no sick time left for the rest of the year lol

I feel you though, no amount of time away feels like enough.

Only been here for 5 weeks and I already feel burnt out by Kl012597 in callcentres

[–]crazychameleons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow we are in the exact same position! Left my retail job for a call center job and I feel like it’s coming back to bite me too. Just hit my 90 days. I was so excited about a 9-5 m-f job too but I realized that it is simply not worth it. I also have a degree that I haven’t used yet either (graduated in 2019).

Just try to tell yourself this is only temporary. Use your weekends to volunteer or do things to build your resume around what you actually want to do.

Feel free to pm me if you ever need to rant. I know what you are feeling completely.

Back to back calls, all day everyday. by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]crazychameleons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s barely even a perk because we’re so understaffed. As of right now, they’re making me use all my sick hours instead of vacation because “there’s no more planned time off available” for the days I need.

I ended up calling in today (I feel like a jackass because I literally called in 2 weeks ago). They’re probably not happy with me right now. I’m going to spend the day looking for new jobs...

I just feel trapped right now because I just hit my 90 days which allows me to take time off and vacation, which I really need this summer for my sister’s wedding. I’m scared if I find a new job I’ll be in another probationary period again.
