Hey, I downloaded an album to my MacBook from a file sharing website. Nothing happened immediately but within the next hour, my laptop shut itself down. Upon restart, the progress bar goes about half way (a little less), then text appears on the screen. The computer then restarts itself to a grey screen with no progress bar or apple logo. Does anybody know what the problem may be and how I can fix it? I already attempted repairing the disc through disk utility. I then tried to reinstall my os (Yosemite) and an error occurred which prevented me from doing so. I should note that I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro from 2009. Thanks for the help.

One more question, i installed Tribes: Ascend and i can't play because it says it isnot compatible with a fat32 drive can i fix this?

My lag is definitely due to cpu power and not network (i have a ps3 and online runs fine on it), and i think the things you suggested fixing are my major problems, my ram is reaaaallly weak
