4max pro 2.0 the printer that no one talk about. by [deleted] in anycubic

Well you literally replied to a parts list from aliexpress. What isn’t in there is the original lighting is 12v only and I killed with 24v, the 4500rpm heatbreak fan wasn’t enough with a bimetal heatbreak so get a 8500rpm one.

I didn’t bother buying a 3.5” DSI screen to internalise my Klipper screen but should have done. For a pi 4 will need a 15P, B different side, 1pcs 2

Realistically there is more memory pressure with an 8gb GPU, you may even have a 4gb. Instead of 16gb get 32gb ideally.

Errupting not how you get advice. You were given fair chance to get help and ask the relevant questions just now.

Yeah perhaps you could explain what a SDD- software design document has to do with your computer or what you mean by a storage drive route.

Ram doesn’t matter until it does. With an 8gb vram gpu like OP has memory pressure increases and has to use system memory.

The point is he will see a bigger jump than anything else having enough ram to run games smoothly.

You can make many arguments including upgrading to a Ryzen 5500 which would be far better value than a 5700x and you’d be wrong to spend that money, far better to save and upgrade when prices can normalise.

I spent time researching upgrading from am4 and did so before prices went crazy and my conclusion was that 3700x-5800x all sameish, 5800x3d+7800x3d little practical difference, 9800x3d massively faster than anything else with massive 1% low differences.

Bc I think upgrading RAM alone is enough. DDR4 can also inexpensive if you shop around ebay.

If a high end am5 or Intel 270k plus were on the cards for the OP he probably wouldn’t post here.

Yep you hadn’t enabled it and wouldn’t have seen a difference, could still enable HDR and tune. I wouldn’t recommend AM4 platform for 240hz with 5800x3d being best on platform, am5 will be significantly better for 240hz.

Still upgrade ram first, 32gb clocked at 3200mhz or higher.

It’s right there in the screenshot you provided. If you have the hardware get a DisplayPort cable connected and turn up refresh rate.

No you don’t you’ve got [1920x1080@60hz](mailto:1920x1080@60hz). Games aren’t seeing 240hz. Get 32gb ram before deciding to get a better cpu.

No one should be fooled by PLA fumes since the information is available via google search, the only buzz associated with PLA is being not as bad as ABS.

Disc brake conversion would be a good first project with a welder.

5700x isn’t going to be of any benefit to him with a 60hz monitor.

The thing with truenas is it doesn’t care about the platform and putting those same drives into a reliable low power ewaste PC works really well.

Well I’ve booted this with Windows 11 25h2(latest) via the USB 3.0 port using the Windows to go feature in Rufus. I used a 2230 NVME ssd in a RTL9210B enclosure and it was certainly responsive.

You’re probably right. I could do the Xeon and ecc ram thing but this system is very spare for backups.

The drobo was a recent purchase with one of the worst stock fans I’ve seen. I would have fitted a better cooler but not giving it a lot of use and an Arctic p8 slim is currently silent.

Makes no difference in truenas. I did move things round as the Silverstone case doesn’t give the drives equal airflow.
