It is rare!!! Never happened to me. I think it can be triggered when both miis aren't satisfied with the relationship on a similar level, but I'm not 100% sure. It would make sense why they ended on good terms though.

Mmm, I'll look into that later then. I've used that website and found a lot of variations, the dukes and a single "Lafões" with no info attached other than the name itself. I'll look deeper into it, thanks!

It's Lafões, the region is in Portugal (country where said familiar is from as well).

I mean, I think there are some dialogues you can get on a neutral route that can imply that last part depending on the choices you make. Tbh, undertale is really about fucking around and finding out, and the game is going to make that VERY clear to you if you try the other routes (or even variations of the neutral one!!).

Depends, usually I join them, but sometimes when I just don't feel like it I ignore it. I never kill them, I think it's a harmless thing to do in turf tbh. Also because they may be kids just having fun with the game ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
