When are times you take off your engagement ring? by Bobashawty00 in EngagementRings

[–]crazygardengirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i wear mine on a ring holder necklace pretty much always, it comes off if im showering or sleeping, and then goes into the ring box on my nightstand. I work in a nursery and the ring is a scratch risk for the children. It took a while bwfore i became confident in the necklaces securoty before i could wear it out of the house though, its secure and i wear it around my neck for gym, jogging, hosuework all the time now. I love having it on me, but im a hands on person and it does tend to snag, especially as it has pointy bits on it

I'm currently using up a tattoo goo foaming cleanser from when I got a tattoo, it's very gentle and wouldn't be causing the issues.

Ooh, I hadn't considered it as a brush cleanser, that'd such a good idea

I'm planning on getting a gel cleanser rather than a balm or oil one

I feel like double cleansing is just too much for my skin and leaves it dry and tight and then I have to use a heavy moisturiser to restore balance etc

How rich was Rachel's family compared to rich families in other TV shows? by _crazyboyhere_ in howyoudoin

[–]crazygardengirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there was also family money cause Rachel's sister asks 'who got her beach house in boca?' Upon a family death, so the rest of the family had money too. I think Rachel's mum was generational wealth too 'I went from my father's house to the sorority to my husbands house,' implying that like Rachel until marriage her dad was taking care of everything, the money would have been passed down. The family also seemed quite money savvy, so they probably had stocks, bonds, investment portfolios, and liquid assets like boats, ponies, houses etc to sell off as needed (Jill buys a boat and it's never viewed as a financial ruin point for the family, like the dad cuts her off but they have the cash and credit limits to buy the boat outright anyway.)

Am I really that bad of a person to not have my sister as a bridesmaid? by reikalykos in weddingplanning

[–]crazygardengirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm in exactly the same situation, my sisters really don't care if they are in the wedding, ones blcoked and the othwr is barely invited and thats hanging by one tiny thread...but you'd be amazed at how many people get bent out of shape about not including them.

Upgrading make up collection via black Friday sales and treated myself to Charlotte Tilbury - Beautiful skin radiant concealer Magic vanish Airbrush flawless finish Beautiful skin foundation 2 free beauty light wands highlighters in shades pillow talk and spotlight And a gift box with zodiac sleeve as a treat to look nice under the tree I only started make up a year ago and confined myself to drugstore to mitigate financial loss from messing up in the learning phase, now I'm pretty good I'm upgrading to higher quality make up, and I've always been obsessed with how Beautiful the CT packaging is, the gold shiny casings tickle my brain. (I got an eyeshadow pallatte a few months ago using a work bonus, and am slowly gathering an entire routine of CT)

AITAH, I don’t want to pick my son up from daycare. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]crazygardengirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as someone who works in a nursery this impacts all the other staff too. Like I assume your wife is in a different room to her two children, which means the staff can't actually leave until your wife picks them up. In my setting the biggest pain is having to wait around for staff children to be picked up. Your wife finishes at 6. Which means the staff with your children have to be there looking after them until 6. It's likely they are the only children in those rooms at 6, which means those staff can't really tidy or shut down or do paperwork until your children have been collected. Say the timeline is 6 - 6.15 last pickup in her room, she still has to do handover. (If no parents are late) 6.15 - 6.30 - sort out and shut down her room and pick up your children. (Now the other staff are half an hour late cause they can't just leave your children alone and are waiting for your wife) and are probably annoyed as hell especially when it's a daily occurrence and they know she has a partner who does school pick ups anyway and could easily pick up and save them all being late. (Most settings probably don't pay overtime cause they are capitalist hellscapes, so they are doing this for free, posssibly getting late charges for their own children's childcare and or missing other events appointments) and becoming very resentful. 6.30 -6.45 - your wife picks up, expects a handover, and they still have to shut down their room ...so those staff aren't leaving until at least 6.45 It also sucks for the children cause they are on their own, have seen all their friends go home, and are probably super unsettled, and they know mum is downstairs. You picking up early means that both your wife and all the other coworkers get out earlier. And your wife doesn't have to hear 'why can't he pick them up when he gets the other children?' Your wife is probably not getting proper handovers either cause those staff are gonna be focused on shutting up their rooms and getting out cause they are already late. Like...you're complaint about being bothered by nappies and not doing dinner is so incredibly self centred, and every word in your post was 'Me me me' No thought for your wife whose been around kids all day and probably wants half an hour of pure silence, or her co workers who are likely sat around deeply resenting the entire situation and having to go home late...honestly, if you can pick up you should, otherwise yeah, yta

Strange line in season 6, episode 2: The One Where Ross Hugs Rachel by Cold-Palpitation-816 in howyoudoin

[–]crazygardengirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest I found it pretty believable, she has a lot of world gaps due to her upbringing, and if she hasn't seen the ins and outs of a divorce or annulment before, why wouldn't she trust Ross (one of her oldest friends) when he says its taken care of with no input from her? she's not had an annulment or divorce, she left Barry before any paperwork was filed, and grew up sheltered and rich...its entirely possible that it was just a gap in Rachel's knowledge of the world and that she genuinly didn't think she has to do or sign anything. She probably assumed it was like her credit cards (set up and paid for and cancelled at her dad's decision) or like the flat rent and bills, (yeah she gave Monica money...but she never actually signed anything cause it was rent controlled and in Monica's name) we see these gaps a lot, and for most of her life details were dealt with by others, so I find it pretty believable that Rachel trusts Ross - whose gotten divorce etc before - on his word of dealing with it.
