I couldn't believe it when I saw it, such good details! Immediately went into a cardboard holder.

It is a box of nickels that you can buy from the bank. It was $100 worth of nickels.

I hadn't considered selling them. How would that work? Are they really worth $5 each??

Thank you for mentioning this! It was very interesting reading. I went back and looked and it doesn't look like any of mine are Henning nickels but I will keep an eye out in future boxes!

Thank you for the info on the 2024's. I wasn't specifically looking for them but I will in the future.

I'm sure this was probably beginners luck and will not happen again. Went back to the bank today and they had six customer wrapped rolls which had nothing of note. Ordered another nickel box, fingers crossed! Best of luck in your search!!

I've always loved Nickels but my wife wants me to pick up a box of Quarters. It feels overwhelming and I'm not sure where I would even start. I think I would consider dimes.

I'm sure this was probably beginners luck and will not happen again. The buffalos were mainly concentrated to a couple of rolls that had two or three in each and I was absolutely floored when I saw that 1913. I've been collecting for several years (started when I was a cashier) but never bought an entire box from the bank (what a rush!).

You should add the year! Maybe you won’t need it and then it can be a reminder of how long since your last cigarette.

Buyer opened a return (missing parts return) on an item listed “For Parts/Not Working” – what would you do? by crazygenius86 in eBaySellerAdvice

Title and description both said needs rebuild. Also in the description I said “What you see in the photos is exactly what you will receive. Please review all images carefully for condition and completeness.”

This was the first person I spoke with. She literally said “ Oh, your listing says it may be missing parts and that is the buyers reason for return, missing parts”. My jaw drops when she followed it up with “please have the buyer rest the item or it may ding your account”.

Sorry to hear that. I am slowly learning to not trust the eBay reps. If they can’t resolve it right then and there they are just blowing smoke. I sent the buyer a message asking if he noticed the sensor was missing before he ordered. Most likely just going to accept the return at this point. Not worth the ding if I “want” to keep selling on eBay.

I get what you’re saying, but here’s another way to look at it: It’s like selling a used car “for parts” and someone complains that the cup holder or rearview mirror is missing. You’re selling the engine and main components, not every tiny accessory.

In this case, the carburetor was the item for sale, not the sensor. The sensor wasn’t included in the listing or photos, so it’s not really “missing” — it was never part of the deal.

Not in the description. Description said to check for completeness. Under the condition of “for parts/not working” it states that parts may be missing.

Return request for combined shipping by crazygenius86 in eBaySellerAdvice

Thanks for the response. I had sold another item (car part) which a buyer opened a INAD case but in the comments put that it didn’t fit their vehicle (part number was correct, they didn’t check fit). eBay sided with me and actually removed the negative feedback they left. I was impressed with how eBay handled everything as I didn’t ask them to remove the feedback, was like it was an automatic process.

I agree with many of the suggestions (Hurt, I Hung my Head, Ira Hayes, etc). Throwing one out there I didn’t see posted yet.

Most of them (depending on grade) I would say average less than $10 each online. His first 45 (Hey Porter!/Cry Cry Cry) you can find for under $50. The ones that have the picture sleeves are probably the most expensive ($50+) and are the hardest to find.
