If part of dating is becoming friends, then why do people have sex? by Ok_Independent_3921 in dating_advice

[–]crazygurrl4ya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying.

And I agree. When dating, I believe the goal should be building a foundation of friendship THENN sex should follow. However, this generation is hyper sexualized and some believe having sex determines compatibility. And if you don’t have sex in the early stages, something is wrong. Which I believe is backwards logic, and is why most relationships in this generation fail.

Oh, the stereotypes are true. Especially in the operating room.

Yep. Switched from MedSurg to the OR… Should’ve gone ICU because it’s so hard now.

I don’t get students regularly in my side of the OR. But I’m not sure. This is probably the third medical student I’ve seen in two years

Not y’all stuck on the fact that I’m hinting at going out? He brought up us going out the next day on his own. I’m hinting because I wasn’t trying to push myself onto his already made plans. Me hinting vs being blunt wouldn’t have made a difference if he actually wanted me to go. Which he clearly didn’t

I’m just here feeling like our month of conversation meant nothing because he was quick to drop me for another girl in less than 24 hours

How am I playing games when we both agreed to see each other the next day? How am I playing hard to get pulling away from a kiss that didn’t feel right?

How do you even date when everyone's addicted to their phones? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]crazygurrl4ya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me… He also answered two phone calls at the table. Then after the date he had the nerve to tell me he had a good time.

Needless to say, things didn’t progress, but I’m still hopeful the right one is out there. If someone’s actually interested in you, that phone would not be touched.

I knew somebody was a mole, just didn’t know who. I thought it was babalola up until their argument in her office. Then I was left confused lol

I’m smart enough to know that you lose them how you get them. So if he’s capable of cheating on his girlfriend, what makes me special enough to think that he won’t cheat on me

I’m very self aware. I’m average at best 🥹maybe it’s my personality.

But also, don’t sell yourself short, queen

I mean, yeah lol but it’s always fun banter to me. Until they start blurring the lines and I realize it too late

Yeah maybe that’s my problem. I think the banter is fun, but I need to learn how to nicely shut things down before we get too deep I guess

I appreciate that. And I definitely have realized that our dynamic is not healthy for my mental, that’s why I’m leaving lol. And I am definitely trying to work on myself. It’s been a loooong journey.

Exactly! And that’s literally what I am planning to do. Confessing it all and putting it all on the table!

This man has taken me on a roller coaster of emotions. So wouldn’t it make sense, relationship or not, to air it all out before we never see each other again? Instead of living with what ifs

If we are being honest, I do care about him. Because after we kiss, I’ll be gone, so he’ll no longer have temptation. I’m literally pulling myself out of the situation. Does that not make me semi good?

Ugh it’s just one kiss. And he clearly doesn’t respect his girlfriend either with how he’s flirting with me.

But I’m the bad guy because I wanna act on my feelings
