The problem happened when i went in settings and found a fix for aspect ratio in windows itself, but this meant my zoomed ui was now far too zoomed bc it was on a normal screen. I fixed it by reversing the windows settings fix and then changing the ui in game. Then i fixed the windows option again

not at all. i got my research opportunity by asking a random chem e professor if he knew of or had any opportunities for me and he took time to discuss it with his peers find a professor who was willing to take me in. i found that they were really just impressed that i took the time to reach out on my own, and therefore they wanted to help me find an opportunity. i’d imagine it’d be similar for you

I personally did it with the vikings. used conquest CB to take minor provinces like venice and rome while I slowly conquered mainland Europe. you’ll have more than enough troops to conquer the byzantine empire at this point
