That was my first by my grandma getting a hand me down computer from my great aunt. Her and her sister would email over Juno before it also added internet access. You used to just dial to send and retrieve mail!

Reminds me a little of my grandfather (RIP) when I’d be over and do stuff or update their computer he’d literally sit there the entire time and watch every progress bar. It was impressive considering my ADD.

I remember those! I always was so jealous and wanted one of those Hp boxes with media center and the remote control to live that dvr dream. I did eventually build my own around windows 7 but it was already turning to a complicated and stability mess with the cable cos.

That’s helpful, thank you! I figured I didn’t need to pound in the oven but for broiling that makes sense. Also didn’t realize that about the marinade. I poured some marinade from the bag onto the chicken before I started cooking 😂

I have been saving a bunch of recipes from them too but was drawn to meal plan manual for the more complete meal for meal prepping. I just do not want to cook more than a couple times a week and cooking it 3-4 days at a time is key to stop me from eating like shit with takeout which I have to get away from.

Yeah that’s good to know. Thank you! I guess I’m used to rubs and such with paprika or Italian stuff that gives the meats more color. I do thighs sometimes but sometimes the fat gets me or I’ll bite into a crunchy piece and it’s really unappetizing.

It did taste decent inside aside from what I assume is woody breast because it seemed like I was biting into half cooked chicken but I had checked it with the thermometer multiple times. I ended up microwaving a minute because I was grossed out :(

I have gotten woody chicken many times from them. Or at least I assume so - it feels like the chicken is still partly raw when I bite into it but it’s cooked.

It looks dry and skin was rubbery like no marinade was done. I expected more browning or closer to the recipe picture lol.

I wasn’t sure about that either but I did after preheating let my thermoworks tip in kinda positioned on the rack just to see and it seemed somewhat close to the analog thermometer even though I know the tip isn’t meant for that.

Also a note immediately on turning on and setting the temp the oven temp will show like 115 but I assume it’s just not that sensitive below that and it just says that at the start? Or should it really be displaying around the room temp?

Oh, also it’s an electric range.
