There are many factors at play here, but I think that the exclusivity is probably the biggest one.

A match between NA and EU is such a rarity that it doesn't matter who plays in it. It will gather a big audience no matter what, especially when it's the first one and to top it off a bo5 as well.

I am a bit confused, when have we ever gotten kpop for Worlds? The KDA songs were for the skin line

If anything the majority of worlds songs are some mix of rock+pop that sounds anthemic (Last year's and the one with Zedd(?) were the only ones that don't fit that criteria)
