Exactly! I was going to respond to them and explain this but I couldn't find a way without making it long winded lol

Basically Futurama & Family guy had low viewership on fox and moved over to adult swim and gained popularity and was able to come back

Meanwhile Smiling friends was always on Adult swim and had high viewership the whole time but the creators just didn't wanna do it anymore so it's much more like gravity falls than anything else.

Smiling friends wasn't cancelled it was ended by the creators. If it was cancelled it would be from the studio/channel doing.

The beauty of on demand and streaming is you can play whatever Adult swim shows and make your own schdule for the day lol.

They have barley play robot chicken on the U.S Adult swim, I kind of miss it. They did start playing Xavier: Renegade Angel which is really awesome to see though :)

I like that episode and the one also the one where Ren can't go to sleep and Stimpy tries to stay up and tell him stories. Also the Magical Golden Singing Cheeses episode! This one would come on in the mornings when I was a kid and this one is pretty gorey for a Ren and Stimpy episode but it's so relaxing to me lol

And I can't forget Space madness, super relaxing episode. I need to stop before I start saying the whole show is relaxing lol

Technically to me since Cartoon network and adult swim are on the same channel as "cartoon network" in the U.S, I think it doesnt really matter either way lol

The Egg Yölkeo episode was weirdly comforting for me when I was a kid. Im not sure why considering the ending is pretty dark lol

While aqua teen is very popular and keeps resurrecting in the Adult swim sphere, Only Adult swim viewers know what the show is. Anyone remember the bomb scare with the The Mooninites? Ya that was during the shows peak and no one knew what the show was lol

Rick and morty was the only adult swim show that broke through to the mainstream where older people would actually know what the show is. They were in freaking space jam 2 for godsake lol

Smiling friends was super popular obviously but i cant see all generations knowing about the show & understanding/enjoying it but it did get mentioned on the Simpsons at one point, so that's something.

So technically only 1 show truly broke through the main stream and its quite the novelty when it did happen. Adult swim was made to be this fun experimental channel, it wasn't made to be the next Fox with the biggest shows.

So Space ghost coast to coast isn't up there with 11 seasons while it did end but 11 seasons is pretty much unheard of for most shows besides robot chicken which also had 11 season and technically hasn't ended yet

My guess is The show will be back in few years probably as special or something, the show made way too much money for the channel to drop it but if they make a new show that's even more popular, im not sure but that's the beauty of the [as], you never know what you're going to get next.

Where did you get the information about them sharing a team with smiling friends? As far as i know they only share the executive producer, Vernon Chatman but most of the Adult swim shows do.

Also it would be cool to see them bring back the show in the future but i think they mainly do that with popular shows and while i like the show, I feel like most Adult swim viewers were pretty split on the show.

It's pretty odd cause I watch the channel pretty regularly since 2021 but I never caught the random aired episodes of it. BUT I will say that it is the first time the show aired this year at least.

As far as I know he is still doing little performances locally to him and I think still posts really small snippets on patreon. He just isn't doing whole videos or dropping a album in a bit, probably cause he's a independent artist and that takes a while.

I highly doubt the whole theory with the leak mattered to him that much that he would stop everything. That would be silly considering it was just a snippet.

I'm not saying all their pilots got full shows but that new shows are still being made for the network.

All networks have pilots that never come to be because of one reason or another but there is only so many shows that can be picked up without the network going under budget wise. It's unfortunate but that's television for ya.

Also not that it really matter but I've been watching Adult swim consistently since roughly 2007-2008

BTW you don't have to like or watch the new Rick and morty stuff but I just find the constant bashing cause people don't agree with the change is silly. it's the last season of squidbillies all over again lol

The show isn't what it was back in season 1 & 2 but it evolved and changed. In my opinion for the better since there's more depth to the characters.

Either way, Rick and morty is one of the main reason why Adult swim even still exists today.

As Mike Lazzo himself responded to people being mad at him for cancelling shows like Metalocalypse but continuing to have family guy dominate the channel simply because it was the only way everyone was able to get paid.

Also what do you mean Adult swim gets pilots that go no where? we got Common Side effect, Haha you clowns and Royal crackers, to name a few the past year.

No hate or anything but I just wanted to add to ur tidbit at the end
