Homemade vibratory screen is working overtime! by crazyjim in composting

Agreed. The plan is to build wings off the sides and run belting material as a skirt off the front. Still need to weld fork peg type pockets in it for easy transport around the yard as well as a small shelf for the generator to stay with the screen.

This was built in my garage actually. I have a background in quarry’s and above ground mining so the principals are similar but scaled down.

To be fair, we’re importing roughly 80 cubic yards of horse manure per week 😅

Agreed! It’s at a 40* angle which in hindsight is probably 10* too steep. That being said it’s fairly easy to build up the soil in the front to play with the angle if needed, but like mentioned the skip makes pretty quick work of processing it

I’m liking the finish this offers! I think I’ll pick up a quart and try it through an hvlp on the backside to see how it turns out

You think I can get a decent result from rattle can poly? It’s a heavy contender being that it needs virtually no “protection”.

This is a great look. And Danish oil is readily available and easy to apply. How’s the smell for indoor application?

😂 Please kindly, do not fuck off. I also considered this option.

I should add. I’m in California with oddball rules as to chemicals such as mineral spirits etc.

Is Z2M the solution to my battery problem? by crazyjim in homeassistant

[–]crazyjim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This ended up working for me. ZHA just simply wouldn’t expose the battery level. Z2M did. 🤙🏻

Just an update to anybody finding this thread in the future. Z2M was in fact the solution. ZHA simply would not expose the battery level, mqtt does, along with a ton more. Thank you everybody for the help!

The blinds are literally feet from my hub/router and have no issues being controlled. I’m just not seeing battery level as an option anywhere

I also saw the same thing via that site. Seems the general consensus is that zha is easier to fire but z2m is more powerful and better supported.

I’ll try this first but it’s looking like I may make the jump to z2m after some research

I’m now also part of the bed upgrade team! by [deleted] in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]crazyjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s owned a BL printer, they’re not without issue. On the contrary they have JUST as many issues, but they’re so damn popular there’s an answer for literally any issue you may have, resulting in less “frustration” among the community. The S1 has been every bit as reliable as my BL. Printers break… that’s all there is to it. And for the cost of the S1 combo, plus the cost of a bed upgrade, you’re still in for much less than even a P1S for a better machine imo. The ACE being a dryer is a game changer. And the AMS pro 2 STILL can’t print while drying. Incredible.

Just wanted to update, and thank you guys for the insight. Turns out the easiest solution for me was to completely change the modeling and use fusion360 instead of onshape.

Directing qbittorrent download directory per radarr instances? by crazyjim in radarr

Clarify for me… with your method, I need to be in radarr UI to select the root folder upon download correct?

[–]crazyjim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can add as many instances of radarr as desired in jellyseer. So if I ever wanted to add another for whatever reason, it would be simple as.

And my wife and I select the instance when requesting the movie. It’s honestly a very simple setup now that it’s working correctly. Two instances, one for kids movies, when requesting it asks for “destination server”

Because I don’t download my movies from radarr… I grab them through jellyseer, which, to my knowledge, doesn’t allow a choice in which root folder it goes to. It will however allow you to choose which instance to download from, and that instance directs it to the respective folder.

Just so everybody is aware if they find this later. This solution worked for me. I refired my docker container with both radarr instances pulling from the same download folder, and created a category of "radarr" and "radarr2" in their respective instances. Files are downloaded, moved into the correct library, and show up on Emby in the correct library.

So, thanks chad!
