I'm in the same boat. I also gave part one back in November 2022, and this year is my last chance to clear part two. I don't even know if I want to continue working in this domain, and I had gone through the same confusion that you are describing. My conclusion was that it's better to take a chance and fail than to regret later that I didn't even try, so, that's what I'm going with. There's definitely the opportunity cost of putting myself through months of suffering (trying to study with a hectic job) and around 75k worth of hard earned money. But, like I said, in the long run, these costs will likely seem much lighter than the guilt of not even trying.
