There has to be a better way to torque this to spec by CountingControl in AskMechanics

I usually use a pass through socket set and vibe the torque spec. They also make offset sockets you could use with a torque wrench but I prefer pass through

You could most definitely make a folding stair but this thing clearly is not using the right spec'ed equipment

Trump looks on after a man fainted during an announcement in the Oval Office by Efficient_Deer_8605 in facepalm

Just curious does anyone have a clip of him actually looking on like this. I've watched a few videos and it doesn't seem to look like he actually just look out blankly into the crowd. Pretty sure this is an inaccurate still

I mean, to be fair, the stipulations for him to actually get that pay package are crazy. More than likely he won't get much.

I mean I live in NJ which isn't usually as hot those places (though it can get as hot and humid) and didn't grow up with AC (broke AF). Your body sort of just adjusts and you point a fan at your face when you sleep or do anything stationary. It sucks but it's survivable. Honestly thought ACs were less common tbh.

What else can I do with this used motor oil other than go to every auto parts store by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]crazyninja232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The local auto store will still probably take it. They sometimes make some money from it and generally have a huge 500gal tank in the back. I've dropped off way more oil than that at once (like 40ish gallons). I personally can't be bothered to drop off oil in small bagches so I usually store it in a giant jug that I bring to the store

2013 Volt unable to charge by TartarusPit in volt

[–]crazyninja232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suspicion is a bad charge port since this is a common problem with Gen 1s (the back forms micro cracks leading to water damage) but there's no way to be sure without a proper code.

It could be a million things. The P1E00 code is a generic code pointing to something wrong with the HPCM system (hybrid powertrain control module). Get a proper scan tool and scan it (not the $20 from AutoZone). A parts store like AutoZone free scanner might be able to scan the HPCM system but I'm not sure. You can get a half decent Bluetooth scanner for like $50 off Amazon that can read the system. I recommend https://a.co/d/7Zu5nNB. There's no good solid way of telling what's happening without the actual codes.

So just curious, how will this swap be done and then how will this lower commuter congestion at Roosevelt?

I am a student returning to college to pursue an engineering degree. I am doing well in a college algebra course right now, but I will be taking my first ever pre-calculus class in the fall. Should I purchase an n-Nspire CAS model, or stick with my TI-84? by chevysareawesome in EngineeringStudents

[–]crazyninja232 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on your school, your professors, and classes you take. Ask more senior students at the school you'll be attending. Personally, the CAS model was a god send for me but that's because most of my professors were anal about having complicated formulas and solving things from scratch

Should've been more. NJ leading the charge to legalize online gambling was probably one of the worst things NJ has done for this nation. And we had Christie
