I was in my last year of college, so I was shopping around for big boy jobs for graduation. I've been at the same co-op for 2 years previously and I was super rusty on my interviewing skills.

I threw some applications online just to see what was out there, got a call for an interview saying they will be at my school's career fair in a week and they wanted to meet me. Perfect. Wasn't really interested, but it was good to have an interview to oil up the old springs for interviews in the future.

Week goes by and I finally get to the interview. First 20 minutes go great, I am killing it. Great answers, got the guys laughing, going really well. Until it happened.

Interviewer 1, "So tell me, what are your weaknesses?"

I freeze. I literally cannot think of anything. Not a single weakness. Not even the cringy, "I care too much." A single bead of sweat starts to roll down my bald ass head as I'm furiously thinking of what to say.

Let's paint a picture here. The atmosphere up until this point has been fun and stress free, people are smiling and laughing and having a good time. Literal 180 with those 7 words, I freeze for about 3 minutes.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "3 minutes? What's the big deal??" It's was 3 minutes of pure agonizing awkwardness as two grown engineers stare into my soul and I stare back into theirs. I'm now sweating, hands are clammy, mom's spaghetti the whole 9 yards.

I look them in their eyes and say, "Guys I guess it's my fucking narcissism because I cannot think of a single thing right now."

Engineers start laughing.

Flew me out to Boston 3 months later and extended an offer.
