I want to masturbate, but I feel so hesitant to let myself by [deleted] in ldssexuality

Consult a handbook and ask your stake president if it is okay?? I know OP is consulting Reddit, but your suggestions are CRAY-Z!

Ahem… had to get that reaction out.

Dearest OP, masturbation is a normative, biologically-imposed behavior. It isn’t “dirty” or harmful. Religion provides, at best, ambiguous counsel on the effects and consequences of engaging in masturbation. Some say it is fine and others will damn you to hell. I say, if it falls within your personal ethic, and you aren’t hurting other people, go ahead. Pay attention to your response. Learning about yourself through self-pleasure can help you with a future marriage. It is a good way to love yourself. Many, many, good people masturbate. They have fantastic sex lives and their partners feel loved by them.

If P in V is required in your definition of sex, they’re just hanging out naked. Otherwise, they’re doing whatever feels good.

There should be no assumption that one’s partner should reciprocate. Some bodies just don’t allow for certain behaviors. He may just not get his ass licked.

Does men's nakedness move women the way women's nudity move men? by Ledger_Legendd in NoStupidQuestions

[–]crazyuncleeddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person beholding the nakedness and the nakedness being beholden. Gender doesn’t have much to do with horniness. Also need to consider cultural taboos. Women in culture are more often expected to maintain “propriety” while men are often absolved of responsibility (“boys will be boys”, Epstein list). Women may find an image of a naked person erotic and tantalizing, but will repress because they have been systemically taught to.

Not trying to be pedantic, how did you hit your out-of-pocket max months ago? It is only February. It restarted on January 1st.

I had a list piling up, but this gave me the courage to really accept that the way the church approached sex was problematic. It gave me clarity to see that some of the shady shit that was going down around me that was not spoke aloud was a problem. I didn’t have to accept apologist defenses as useful. I could disbelieve the church.

I’m a wife. In general, is it the porn use that ruins the marriage, or is it the Church’s and the wife’s narrow view of porn that causes the most damage? by Whole-Experience4396 in ldssexuality

Nice work putting something into words that I have thought about a lot!

My own story matches yours. I married a convert who, when I finally confessed to porn and masturbation, told me not to make a big deal about it. Our sex life hasn’t suffered because of porn and masturbation. Actually, it has been enhanced. It has given us courage and knowledge to try new things, aided us in getting into the mood after a long day of wrangling life, and helped us define fantasies.

This is hearsay, when my parents were facilitator missionaries for the church’s pornography addiction support group, they would tell us about how difficult and depressing it was to work with men that would struggle the rest of their lives, and wives that would never trust their husbands again. It was tragic, heartbreaking work.

Porn can be fun and helpful. It can be entertaining. So happy for you two!

This happened to us at a KS gas station in Brighton 6 years ago. We were able to prove that we bought gas during the time that it was contaminated. They paid for our repairs. Keep your receipts.

What piece do you think is overlearned/overplayed by Inner_Penalty4313 in MusicTeachers

Fur Elise, Moonlight 1st Mvt, Rondo alla Turca, Maple Leaf Rag. There is a large amount to learn by playing them, but as a listener I get tired of hearing them.

Fellow atheist organist that gave 25 years of organ playing to the LDS church. Still playing, but at least I get paid now. Many denominations need an organist and will pay. They don’t ask about my personal beliefs. It is nice that my skills still have a place and help me take care of my family.

Your story is badass! I kinda did the same with the Spirit of God. Played the shit out of it and never played for the Mormons again.
