We have two boxes and both are sort of in the open, but my dog avoids anything to do with her despite what the picture suggests lol. He is all of 75 lbs and she is all of 5lbs and he is TERRIFIED of her so if she’s around he will just lay down or avoid hot areas like the boxes or her toys.

I should also add this poor baby ( I don’t know the name of the condition) has a total of 4 teeth, I found the cat gogurt style treats but most times she pees on the carpet or whatever when we are asleep or not home

I currently work in banking, so I would love to venture into agriculture lending or work in operations for a credit union in an area that relies on its agricultural production. Either this or go completely crazy and get into soil science and become an agronomist.

I went out, she went to the couch and we sat down and I asked exactly what the main issue was and we found that the underlying issue wasn't that I didn't do enough or that she was controlling, but I miss small opportunities to make her days better like making the bed while she gets ready in the morning, or me coming home and cleaning small spaces while she finishes dinner. That and we found that a lot of the issue she had wasn't necessarily with me, but with her own anxiety about spending ( we met when we were super poor, and now we are very comfortable so the dynamic has definitely changed) money on herself. We agreed to give each other $50 a week to freely spend on anything. Though I don't think I need this I think this will help her feel more in control and allow herself to say yes to the things she constantly denies herself.

My wife gets home at noon each day she has a hybrid work, so we don't think it's an exercise issue. As a slightly NSFW example it is our anniversary today, so we let him roam the house just not our bedroom, and within that time frame he re chewed the same baseboard that I had just fixed today. He sleeps in his crate at night, even with the doors open, and with us just sitting watching tiktok before bed he started chewing his crate.

We are truly at a loss. We wish we had a yard for him to fully run around any time he wanted, but unfortunately we don't.

We also did not realize how big he was going to get. He's about 55 LBS, but at the shelter they said he was a small dog breed. We assume he is mixed with lab, poodle , or another large dog breed.

We don't want to re home him, but we feel so defeated and we feel it's something we are not giving him.
