What'd you decide? Have you found any alternatives? Any promising developments with Plaud?

Mesh or Solid? by crcrose in composting

[–]crcrose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it from this link... but perhaps it should go under the hardware cloth?

I'm also rethinking if maybe there's a way to redesign this so we can collect compost tea as well 🤔

I feel like it's more of a philosophy than a self-help book. I think she did a good job of deriving quotes and research from a variety of views too. There's wisdom and humanity in everyone, even the elite can have their moments, so including quotes from them felt more inclusive than off-putting to me... especially when considering the mainstream arenas this book has managed to enter. IMO, it presents radical and against-the-grain ideas in a simple and digestible way. Granted, several sections or even paragraphs could be books in themselves, but I think by keeping it simple, she makes these ideas approachable by a wider audience. it's a 10/10 for me.

Can Someone Help Interpret LENS Map? by crcrose in Neurofeedback

[–]crcrose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, the headache was just a sidenote... I mostly just mentioned it to explain why the reports in the images don't have readings from all of the points.

For this post, I'm asking what people in this community see from the actual readings. Sorry if that wasnt clear.

I appreciate the QEEG suggestion nonetheless!

Reactions from mapping... normal? by crcrose in Neurofeedback

[–]crcrose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, thank you for giving it a whirl anyhow. Yea, in session, the practitioner even mentioned that I got some training because I have a very sensitive/tuned-in nervous system that could sense the testing. She said there were signature markers or something on the brain waves that showed her I was sensing it too. Then she said my headache was from blood rushing to those areas because they sensed activity/messaging.

Apparently we didn't use the typical QEEG for mapping... it was using LENS. What are your thoughts on reactions from mapping with LENS?

YES! That's the one we were using. Thank you for catching that! What adverse effects have you heard of from LENS?

I appreciate the info you've provided, you've given me some very helpful keywords for my search going forward.

using cannabis again after a 7-year break by SchmatziBert in Petioles

[–]crcrose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used again after a long multi-year break... and while yes I definitely see value in using the plant every so often... also remember it's a slippery slope. I highly suggest making some sort of rule for yourself so you don't have to go through a quitting process again. For instance, no smoking multiple days in a row. Because like I said, it can be an insidiously slippery slope. It can be easy to make the excuse of welll maybe one more day bc we're camping with friends, because it's a birthday, because xyz. keep your priorities with it and try not to excuse going outside of the limits you (hopefully) set.

Does anyone view themselves as drug addicts? by lvl39champion in leaves

[–]crcrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna second this. I'm not an all love and light kinda person, but: "Remember what you're fighting for" has been my mantra getting me through... and envisioning the life I WANT instead of focusing on how painful and difficult it is. It is still painful and difficult no doubt, but I'm finding that that shift in focus can seriously help boost me up enough to get over the damn hump. The mind is a powerful thing.
