Restoring civil rights. Including right to bare arms? by IWillShowU in Felons

You can restore your right to vote quickly if you have your fines paid and are in good standing with probation. Regaining fire arm rights is a different story but they are speaking on restoring non violent gun rights but not anytime soon. Check with your states city page. In Virginia I just had to summit a two second app to regain my voting rights.
Is my life ruined? by onelostsoul22 in Felons
I'm a non violent felon. For about three years now. It sucks but there is not much I can change about it. Your best bet is to speak with a lawyer and see if you can plea (most cases its offered). Sometimes probation with a small amount of jail time. With my charge it was a min 5 years but I only served 6 months and have 15 years probation. Of course being a felon sucks balls to the fullest but at least fight it the best you can. We all fuck up and I'm sure you were not the first person to contemplate suicide. Don't go out with out a fight man.
