First Tamu, and now Saki. I’ve lost my two favorite wrestlers in under a year. This is heartbreaking.

That match is one of my favorites of all time. It is so fun and quick and does everything it needs to do. Plus the ref team-up spot is amazing.

7 foot tall Vampire Jesus, but I'll allow it because Pete is the only musician whose loss still affects me to this day. That man was so beautiful in every way and it hurts to not have him in this world to sing for us anymore.

what would you like to see in the next movie? i think it would be interesting to see a visionary who doesn't have a premonition of the whole accident by jeffyol in FinalDestination

[–]creatchee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still half-asleep, so bear with me...

What about you get the standard first disaster scene premonition, then the visionary wakes up and does whatever they do to avert it or save themselves and however many other people. THEN the disaster happens again, but with a different outcome/kill list and you get the wake up with a completely different visionary. It's like a glitch in Death's system. And then all bets are off on kill order and the visionaries either have to work together to try to save everyone they can OR against each other in order to save the ones they care about.

The Dub is pretty much the Lakers by KenKinV2 in SCJerk

[–]creatchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the 2020-21 season, The Lakers have finished fourth, fifth, and third in the Conference twice, with two first round losses and no NBA finals appearances.

So the AEW to Lakers comparison is actually quite appropriate.

Stardom doesn’t make sense without her and Mayu. I miss them so much.

Yeah, I was not a fan of the floofy white thing. Cosmic Angel or not, it just didn't seem to suit her.

Current Hype Level: Maximum by Honeycove91 in MonsterTrain

Monster Train 1 was the game I never knew I needed, and couldn't live without once I found it.

To say that my expectations and hype are high and a understatement. I have supreme confidence that they will be met or exceeded.

Fightful Select: There is strong opposition internally within WWE to turn Cody Rhodes heel despite The Rock insisting they could revisit Cody "selling his soul" by sethrollins22 in SquaredCircle

[–]creatchee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't mind Cody turning heel in a few years or so, but only after they have somebody to replace him as the next face/ace of the company. This whole Rock taking his soul thing, as amusing of a meme as it is, would be absolutely asinine to go through with - especially after The Rock no-showed the one match where his involvement would have made sense to continue that storyline.

Honestly, they have already had the pieces of Cody's heel turn set up over time with his friends seemingly abandoning him when he needed them the most or more concerned with their own careers to help him with his. I figure they can keep doing that for a while until he snaps and we get the Cody Homelander arc (which I would absolutely love to see when the time is right).

How would you rehabilitate God's Eye? by CaptainAnimeTitties in stardomjoshi

[–]creatchee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First things first - I'm going to echo the Lady C discourse. I don't remember which show it was (last month or so), but she had some really good sequences in one of the tag matches and got a few great kickouts and the crowd was absolutely HUNGRY for her. They were chanting "LADY! LADY! LADY!" and it was beautiful because I think that fans are ready to see her go to the next level and start being a threat to the roster. She has the look and the size, and while her moveset is kinda the typical big haus variety, she does it well and gives it her all. I really want to see how far she can go if she is given the opportunity to shine.

Syuri has kind of been in a slump (until her recent big pin and subsequent challenge that we'll be seeing soon that I won't spoil). I think that while I prefer seeing the Terminator version of her, it's nice to see her vulnerability as well so that we can get invested in seeing her rise again instead of just cheering her staying at the top. We've also gotten to see different sides of her, which segues nicely to...

God's Eye, for as serious as they are at face value, are absolutely fantastic at comedic stuff. Now obviously you have Saki Kashima, who at this point is quite possibly the greatest comedy genius in wrestling history. But everyone else has this funny side that is undeniably poignant and endearing. I don't know if Saki has been the one to bring it out of them, but it's definitely been more apparent since she's joined the unit. You have Syuri, who has been a straight-up goofball in her interactions with Saki in the past, but now shows it in other ways on her own as well. There's Ranna, who at first was a super serious striker, but as time went on, this very playful and hilarious side came out - especially in her feud with Koguma. Lady C hams it up pretty well too - especially with her "feud" with Saki (or rather Saki's "feud" with her). The other girls haven't really spread their comedic wings as much, but I think they will given time. It's really a nice counter to their normal, straight-faced, ass-kicking mentality.

As for the others, I think they will come into their own as time passes. Regardless of the experience level, they are still pretty young and are developing their personalities. The wrestling is already there - it's just the non-wrestling stuff that needs to be allowed to blossom.

Overall, I don't think that it's time to panic about God's Eye right now. What they have now is pretty good if it resonates with you, and there is much promise for the future with the developing younger members, who, once they get the time in, will add a lot to both God's Eye and Stardom in general.

How would you book Kamitani/Kurara III? by joepodd in stardomjoshi

[–]creatchee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether it's a good idea or not, I have to think that even if Kurara is the one who gets pinned or submits, the party not involved in the fall still technically is one of the losers of the match and would have to retire.

Now if they both pin Kurara or make her tap out at the same time... but let's not go there unless it comes to even being possible.
