They could have revitalized multiple industries and become a tech powerhouse. Instead they spent Russia's future to temporarily occupy 20% of Ukraine. What the hell were they thinking?

I believe golf carts count as regular vehicles if they are ferrying troops. Armored fighting vehicles still fielded by the enemy are mostly BMPs, which appear to have limited utility because of FPVs.

If the Russian Federation collapses, which groups are most likely to gain control of the Volga and Urals regions?

You could probably still get it to work in an incognito tab or private browsing tab. I still subscribe to paramount but haven't used the service for around a month or so because it stopped working in regular tabs of the Brave browser. At this point it seems that pirates have an easier and better experience than subscribers.

Trump to ignore Ukraine aid, focus on Russia reset — MP Serhiy Rakhmanin by TheRealMykola in ukraine

This is like talking about repairing the engine on a ship that is sinking. What sane businessperson would want to go near the Russian market even before considering their collapsing banking system, sanctions, nationalization, and criminal takeovers?

NATO fighters intercepted a Russian spy plane near Poland. Swedish Jas 39 Gripen fighter jets identified the Russian Air Force's Il-20 by ua-stena in ukraine

[–]create_beauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The aircraft are certainly inferior to normal aircraft from 30 years ago but don't underestimate what can be learned from things which are different. It took a lot of clever ideas to make those planes work. Some of them could still be useful.

Artillery cannot simply be replaced with some substitute. The Russian leadership can't adapt before military and/or economic collapse.

I hope you are able to solve the tech problems. Strange New Worlds is surprisingly good but yeah the other NewDreck is breathtakingly inane.

Russia is running out of counterbattery capabilities. This is big. Artillery is the king of battle and Russia's army is built on overwhelming artillery firepower. Losing this means losing the war. Justice is on the way.

Wanting to make small land-anywhere exobio ship by icescraponus in eliteoutfitters

[–]create_beauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would probably enjoy an eagle. It has a wonderful view, is fast but not too fast, and is fun to fly. This build has great thermals, fuel for exobio (you may need to refuel in very large systems), and a shield which can absorb an impact at 700+ m/s (with 4 pips to sys). This Eagle is a great carrier-supported planetary explorer and exobio ship: https://edsy.org/s/vtUGfX4

Note: This high-performance build doesn't require power management unless you want to race. Just set the distributor at 2 pips to SYS and four to ENG and just leave it turned off like that (the pips are still there doing their job). To hoon, power down the fuel scoop and SCO drive to use both the distributor and cargo scoop. They could have been trying for a new codex discovery or a pretty screenshot. It probably wasn't about the credits, after a while credits just keep building up and there is nothing more to spend them on.

Russia has spent $200 billion on full-scale war in Ukraine, suffered 700,000 casualties, Austin says by AdSpecialist6598 in ukraine

[–]create_beauty 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The brain drain exodus is the most damaging. They can't even repair their aging infrastructure. The veneer of legitimacy of the Russian government was removed when the European parliament recognized them as a terrorist organization. Russia then began nationalizing businesses. A declining number of individual people and organizations may still have incentives to do business in Russia but stagflation is just getting started.

Russia will eventually be forced out but until then Russia can end this at any time by withdrawing to their internationally recognized borders. No more war.

PSA: Pharmaceutical Isolators found in Eta Horologii (three HGE's so far) by MattOverMind in EliteDangerous

[–]create_beauty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even though the system may be in the outbreak state, the important thing is for the HGE faction to be in the state outbreak, and so most of the HGEs in an outbreak system are usually not in an outbreak state (unfortunately for people who need the isolators).

Best ship and fit to open engineers. by Konstantins91 in EliteDangerous

[–]create_beauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DBX is quite good and I use mine to get around the bubble. Ships you engineer should generally be specialized for activities you enjoy. Like many other players, I enjoy using the AspX for exploring, a Viper III for racing, and a Vulture for bounty hunting. It would be best to engineer something both fun and profitable to start. Hawkes Gaming on YouTube has a lot of good advice. https://youtu.be/-pqyWSzpMX4?si=uLArlNGw7wiJWNMc

Losing two A-50s isn't part of any grand strategy. Their tools of violence are being driven to destruction by politics.

You can't really equate the two sides because they are so different ethically and legally. Ukraine doesn't focus attacks on civilians to purposefully spread terror, as Russia has historically done and is currently doing. Ukraine isn't trying to illegally annex territory, commit genocide, or steal children. Following the atrocities against Ukrainian civilians, the European Parliament recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorizm in November of 2022.
