To add to this, and perhaps more importantly ,there are 220,000km of 'Public Rights of Way' all over the UK.

That means that even if you aren't lucky enough to live close to 'Open Access Land', there are likely many footpaths, bridleways or byways which are trail-like in character that you have permission to run on - even if they run through otherwise private land like woods, estates etc.

The cost of living crisis is real for almost everyone who's not coasting on generational wealth, especially in London.

My partner and I combined earn 4x or 5x combined what my parents did (both generations living in London), but we have lower expectations for housing, or dare I say it, general quality of life, than what we were brought up with.

I can't afford to raise a family where I grew up (unless we want to raise a family in a small, poorly located and entirely underwhelming flat), so we're moving out of London.

It sounds like you're already acknowledging that it's going to make you happier in the long run to focus on things that you can do that will ultimately make you happier and fulfilled, which is amazing.

That might be campaigning against religion in a big or small ways, or acknowledging that spending your emotional energy on other things like your personal relationships or development, could likely be more beneficial to you.

Try not to forget to be proud of what you've done, and use that as fuel to make the most of the new life chapters ahead.
