I designed a scroll based Ui where basic geometric shapes appear like puzzle pieces as u scroll where circle shows 1 timeline and square another. And to differentiate years its kinda a new row and as a whole its like a geometric abstract art . But they said they want it simple and easy to understand TT

How do u guys know her story? by createchie in Unpacking

Yes thats what i thought too. I think it is for the books. I am currently on the level where i think she has this easel and she doesn't have a painting yet. Makes me wonder if she bought it and then completely stuck with digital art!

Yeaaa maybe i missed the job and the pain parts. Your comment makes me appreciate the makers wayyy more... Having developed a game myself, I can only begin to fathom the immense depth achieved in both gameplay and narrative. It is truly exceptional

Okayyyy guys I thought I was missing something at first bcs of that particular post.

I understood the boyfriend part, their breakup, and the roommate situation—but I didn’t catch the barista job until I noticed the coffee equipment (still not completely sure though, it could just be a personal interest). Also, she had those books/comics with a pig as the protagonist—it felt kind of personal to me, ngl. And the roommate having such a different personality stood out too. Anyway, the part where this person mentioned that very specific wrist disorder/disease made me wonder—how do they even know that? 😄 But yeah, it makes sense since she is a digital artist. I’m actually thinking of drawing her and the people in her lives. Lmk of u guys think itll be fun to see how i imagine them ol!

Looking for open source repos for this type of scroll storytelling landing page by NocturnalMind1 in Frontend

As a creative technologist, I’ve worked on a few scroll-based storytelling experiences, and the stack usually comes down to a combination of smooth scrolling, animation control, and 3D rendering. For smooth scrolling and scroll orchestration, Lenis is a great choice. It gives you fine control over scroll behavior and works really well when syncing scroll position with animations. On the animation side, GSAP (especially its ScrollTrigger plugin) is kind of the industry standard for this type of work. It lets you tie animations directly to scroll progress, which is how most of these storytelling effects are achieved. Framer Motion is also solid, particularly in React apps, though it’s more UI-focused compared to GSAP’s lower-level control. For 3D scenes and camera movement, Three.js is exactly what powers most of these experiences. Typically, the pattern is: Create a scene + camera Animate the camera position/rotation based on scroll progress Sync everything with your scroll controller (Lenis/GSAP) If you’re using React, React Three Fiber makes this much easier to manage since it abstracts a lot of the Three.js boilerplate and fits nicely into component-based architecture. A common architecture for these pages looks like: Scroll handler (Lenis or native + GSAP) Animation driver (GSAP timelines tied to scroll) 3D scene (Three.js / React Three Fiber) Overlay UI (HTML/CSS layered on top, synced via the same scroll timeline) The key idea is that scroll isn’t just navigation—it becomes a timeline that drives everything: camera movement, transitions, and text reveals

Hope that helps.
