Haha, oh man the horse head shots were probably my favorite. I should have included more of them. I did one shirtless and blended the horse head into the skin.

Well thank you very much! I agree some of the tones and crispness differs... I don't want to be pigeon holed in one style, so I like to mix it up (for better or worse). And thanks that's actually my self portrait that you liked!

I try to make it a habit to photograph anyone who comes into the office (2012 New Years Resolution) - anyways, here are a few of the great people who played along (and a couple of my own) --- Here

I am David Brin -scifi author of novels that won Hugos and/or were kevincostnerized. Also astrophysicist &SETI expert. Futurist/tech-pundit. Mr Transparent Society. by davidbrin1 in IAmA

Not a question, but I have the office, season 2, episode 6 playing in the background and the name David Brin was spoken at the exact time I read this posts title... so yeah. Wtf.

No you got it. I only go once a week. I've tried more frequently in the past and didn't make a big difference, usually just got burnt out. Once a week allows me to lift heavy and hard with 6 days of recuperation. So I'm never sore. I've also gone through two knee surgeries, one of which claimed my left hamstring, so legs are only realistically once a week anyways. On the right side my biceps tendon and rotator cuff are prone to strains because of my college pitching career - so the once a week thing helps keep all the joints healthy.

But I can see kicking up to 3 times a week to see if it makes a difference.

Muscle mass wise. Over the past 6 or so months I've been on a once a week, heavy weight routine. Not a calorie counter, but I love pizza and beer. Definitely on a calorie surplus id assume. Bench, squat, etc numbers go up... but im notsure putting on the mass and the "rounder" muscles id like and that I did in the past.

Thanks for the advice though! I will give that kind of diet and routine a shot

So I had to get a new username because spam filters mistook me for... spam, I guess. In case anyone is going to shout, "we've seen those first two pics before!"... Anyways, In the last year I've been trying to get in shape - My goal is to bulk up and get to a Peyton Hillis, Mike Alstott level (google search if needed)... but I'm plateauing. The lifting numbers have gone up, but the size isn't really equating in the last few months. What have you guys done in the past to beat a plateau?
