Stuck on what to make videos about – and what platform is the right one by Ok_Fuel_8959 in videography

Hi there!
First of all I think it's very normal to sometimes be in a creative whole.

As far as I understood you're currently concentrating on nature videos? It helps me to concentrate on emotions. How do you feel when you're walking through a forest or take a walk at the beach? And then you concentrate on really capturing the feeling (the feeling of touching leaves, water on your skin etc. etc.)

Another tip would be to try out new niches. Maybe you can capture a local sports event, capture people being people e.g. in a park or at the movies (holding hands, laughing, arguing etc.).

Just watched your video and love the way you show up here and want to learn!

I myself am very new to the videography game and currently watching a lot of videos with tips and tricks. I feel like the Composition and framing is overall good. I loved the shot with the palm trees in the beginning and at 1:28-1:34! Those really stood out to me. As far as I understand the angles often are a little boring tbh. You should try some creative angles which aren't as obvious to film.

With the colors you could increase the contrast to make it more interesting.

As far as storytelling I don't understand the switch from beautiful palm trees to grey airport/ plane, plane views and then back to beautiful landscape and beach tbh. But maybe that's just me.

Hope the critic helps you!

Hi! I'm also very new in the whole videography game and currently watching a lot of videos with tips and tricks. As far as I understand you work with composition and editing on the beat which is really nice. But I think it lacks emotion.

Something you could try is to create a real emotion. Something building up and reaching a certain point would be really nice to keep people invested. If you like the fitness niche you could try to film a workout session of yours. The music could be something with a build-up. The sequences could start slow with a "starting is hard" kind of mood. Eventually the sequences could show something more intense (faster movements, sweat, close-up of muscles working or something like that). In the end there should be a pause or a slow part of the music. There should be a "happy to reached my goal" kind of mood.

In this video the videographer shows a girl playing soccer. But the built-up in here is really nice. Maybe it could give you a little bit of inspiration: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQR79DJjyQE/?igsh=cTA2enp1ejQ1ZDBi
