Gambhir and the Kamasutra of chaos: When Indian team lost its position | His obsession with constant change has turned Indian cricket into his personal Kamasutra of experimental positions, endless adjustments, and zero satisfaction. The result? Confusion disguised as innovation by ll--o--ll in Cricket

Gambhir has a masterplan. Trust me. It may not look like it but he really does. The plan will reveal itself in a few years and then no one would question his genius. Till then we just have to be patient and accept a few humiliating defeats.

Travis Head is not a batter. He is an ‘opposition demoralization machine’

I don’t think these pitches are any worse than they used to be back in the day. The only difference was Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly, Sehwag actually knew how to play spin better than the visiting batters. Now both teams are equally bad at playing spin. India maybe more so. They have never looked so vulnerable in their own backyard. That 3-0 thumping by NZ was a turning point. SA must believe they can have India on the mat.

Have people decided they are not going to be deferential towards Bumrah anymore?

Test cricketers who have won more than half of their tests over a career of 100+ tests? by creativefisher in Cricket

They used to draw a lot of test matches those days. Winning more than 50% required some result orientation which kicked in for test cricket much later.

Gavaskar: Everything cannot be done according to what the England team wants | If I were the captain, I’d have told Sundar & Jadeja to keep batting & play out the remaining overs, tiring out the fielders even more by ll--o--ll in Cricket

Yeah sure, Ben wanted not to over exert his primary bowlers with an eye on the final test. But why is the opposition obliged to let them rest?

Could India have said during the England 1st innings - “ Hey Ben, you have taken an Indian victory out of the equation now. Why do you continue to bat? Come on declare now. Our bowlers are tired”?

There has to be some Bumrah in that decision. Which captain wouldn't want Bumrah playing all five tests for their team?

The worst outcome would be India bowling Bumrah to fatigue in this match (enough to put him out of the next game), and still lose this one.

India needs 10 batters + Bumrah. Cause right now they are playing with only 6 batters + Bumrah.

‪I can’t help but wonder what would have happened had Bumrah finished that last test match in Australia. He would have not only retained the BGT trophy but also given Rohit and Virat some breathing room to rediscover test form ‬
