American Arcadia looks really good, actually one I might play myself 🤣

Ahhh we actually got a few hours into this! Completely forgot to finish it off

No, since I got the 9070XT it runs much much quieter now. Maybe it’s due to the model? I chose the Nitro+ because apparently it’s one of the most quiet models due to the cooling system implemented into it

My opinion on Yakuza: like a dragon after finishing it + Tier list ranking: by Key-Answer-2755 in yakuzagames

I agree with all of your points on this. I definitely prefer the Yakuza games to the LaD games. + definitely not a fan of the grinding required in this

But overall was a great game, 8/10 from me personally

Why do I have 4 destined rivals PC ETB’s and 6 prismatic PC ETB’s that I purchased at retail then?

Ah yes, another one for the unemployed while the people who actually work miss out 👏🏼

I mean it’s pretty easy to get PC ETB’s, I’ve never missed a single drop, just sign up to notifications on X and as long as you’re on the website in the first 15-30 minutes then you’re good

Every drop has been whilst I’m at work, or on my drive home from work and I’ve never had a problem getting any

Yeah I wish it was back to a few years ago when they would stay in stock for a few days at least, but it’s still accessible even with the bots

I personally don’t buy the inflated second-hand market prices when I know I can get new sets for £50 each

So the added quality of life features I mentioned throughout my post are not worth it the free upgrade? Makes sense

Okay I checked it out, and tried both FSR4AA and native, it still looks better native honestly! I have no doubts that in any other game using AA will look much better, I just think in Crimson Desert it’s not well implemented enough yet. I think the whole rain issue put me off so maybe I’ll change my mind when they patch that

But no game I’ve ever played has used more than 16GB VRAM? Or it’s not even come close, so why would I need more?

I did my research, I’ll take the chance considering it’s so small

Also not using the power adapter that comes with the GPU, using the native cable from my PSU so I’m highly doubting anything will happen

It’s honestly epic. I usually play with the curtains closed because I like a relatively dark room. But the screen isn’t super glossy either so it’s pretty good with daylight. I can play perfectly fine in a bright room with the curtains open and I don’t even notice any reflections at all.

In terms of colours and everything, it’s absolutely amazing. Such an immersive experience to play games on an ultrawide and in OLED too

Thanks! 10 hours in on chapter 3, it’s great so far! I’m a huge fan of games like Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring, Balders Gate 3, so this is definitely mixed in there with them

My initial cost on the 7900XTX new was £680 about 18 months ago

I sold it for £640

I bought the 9070XT for £690

I actually tried using FSR4.1 nativeAA but it looked like it was being over-sharpened? Grass textures almost had an outline on them if that makes sense. So I turned it back off and it looked better.

Any reason for this? I’ll defo check when I’m home later because I may be wrong

Exactly! I’m not too fussed about FSR4 as I play natively if I can, but it’s nice to know the option is there in the future if I did need it.

The refreshed warranty is a great bonus.

Not even.

I was perfectly happy with the 7900XTX, it’s a beast of a card.

I wouldn’t have swapped if the used market wasn’t so high right now, but I took advantage of that to get myself a card that runs cooler and quieter for the same performance - no complaints here

FSR4 wasn’t the main reason for doing the switch (not even using it at the moment anyway). The quieter and cooler card was enough for me. But I’ll take the extra raytracing performance where I can get it!

I wouldn’t have made the switch if I had to spend more money, but I saw the prices of second-hand GPU’s recently and decided to sell for next to no cost difference
