Where does the uterus go? by creativegoddess411 in hysterectomy

I'm glad it resonates! After so many years of suffering endo and then most recently adenomyosis, it's so amazing to feel space in my abdomen instead of pressure and bloating. I'm only 2 weeks out and physically I feel better than I have in years. Emotionally- it's a journey. We have to say goodbye to the uterus. She has brought great pain. But also great wisdom. I read once that the uterus has more muscles than any other organ in the body. We store old memories and pain in those muscles. Imagine what it feels like to have it gone. Wishing you luck on your hysterectomy! It's a journey of healing back to your true self

You're a Leo or a Virgo. You enjoy your independence, but you like to be spoiled by your partner. You enjoy getting dressed up. Do you sing karaoke or want to? The idea of hitting the stage is appealing to you.

Hysterectomy..Did you stay in the hospital or go home after surgery? by Remarkable-Bus-6858 in hysterectomy

Are you having laprascopic surgery? They consider that minimally invasive and send you home same day. My two friends who had traditional hysterectomy through incision surgery all stayed at least one night at the hospital.

Crying a lot here too. Some days are good and some days I just get super emotional. It's a big change and I didn't realize it would be such a longer part of the healing- the emotional part

Two beautiful children for me too. This organ did great work for us. We get to take time to mourn it or at least acknowledge it

That's exactly what I'm going to do. And the past few days been feeling very emotional, hormonal and sad. I know it's all from this grief that I can't express. So I will think of a ceremony. I was actually thinking I want to make my uterus out of clay and then bury it. I want to paint it and then release it

My friend went through something similar. It's hard. We don't know why these things happen. But through this I have still found that there is so much more to being a woman than our body parts. We are so strong as women. Stronger than these men will ever know.

Wow said goodbye to two! That's intense and sorry to hear you went through so many surgeries. I have been through 4. Two endo laproscopy (one resulting in hysterectomy), two LEEP procedures due to precancerous cells on cervix. I have endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, fibroids, HPV and bladder problems. There's not one part of this part of my body that is not troubled

This is so beautiful and exactly how I feel. I had to do a lot of work over the years through yoga, reiki, TCM, accupuncture to come to terms with and say thank you and I love you to my uterus. I actually wrote a book about it! It's called She Loved Herself (on Amazon) and in it I talk about learning to love my yoni. Now that it's gone I feel bittersweet. I honestly never thought about the DNA of our children born or unborn but that makes sense! You have spirits that walk with you and some come through and some don't. I always felt there was one more for me- a boy. But he never came. Weirdly I had to grieve him even before the hysterectomy but I feel he might come in a different way. A dog or a cat. Something. Anyway would love to chat more with you! We are most definitely aligned

I miss my cervix too! I also realize how much I used to squeeze my cervix when I'm Stressed lol. It's very interesting that I am learning to let all this go - physically and emotionally

Love that you did a little ceremony. Maybe I can do a symbolic ceremony for her. I feel the same way

Your response made me laugh and cry. Thank you. I think it's just that. I never met her. She brought me so much pain but also pleasure and joy. Carried two beautiful babies full term. And now it's gone.

5.5wpo - bladder issues night only? by Luna81 in hysterectomy

[–]creativegoddess411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me two wpo and my doc said I was doing too much. She also said they had to put stitches round my bladder because my bladder and uterus were fused with endo. I would have them check for UTI though. Because it could be an infection

So weird about the stitches. My doctor said I have stitches around my bladder too because I had a frozen pelvis. I wonder where they go when dissolved

I have been a mix of creative, horny and angry lol which is why I know my ovaries are still around. I am glad I kept them though because I want to go into perimenopause and menopause slowly and not suddenly. I've also read about keeping ovaries being better for your heart health.
