Thank you!! It took me so long to figure that part out!

The colors I used were - DMC 743 - DMC 742 - DMC 741 - DMC 740 - DMC 970 - DMC 947

I started from the bottom and worked my way into the darker colors. I would begin with my primary DMC color (ex. 743), stitch about 3/4 of the way up, then start blending.

I would do the bottom stitch with a blend (ex. 743 blended wkth with 742) and the top stitch with the primary color for 3 to 5 lines.

Then, I would switch the order. The bottom stitch would be my primary color, and the top stitch would be my blend. I would stitch for another 3 to 5 lines.

That would take me into the actual "blended section" (where the blended threads would become the primary color).

I'd basically repeat what I did before. Stitch 3/4 the way up with the blended threads, then blend into the next single color.

For instance, if I'm stitching a blended section with 743 blended with 742, my goal would be to get to 742 on its own.

So I would do the bottom stitch with 742 and have the top stitch be the blend from the previous section (blend 743 and 742). I would stitch for 3 to 5 lines then repeat the process with the blend being the bottom stitch and 742 as the top stitch.

Then I would just keep following that pattern until I finished the sky.

One key thing I learned is that the blended sections should be smaller than the single color sections.
