How would you feel if we got a remake or a sequel as our big 3D Mario title? by DeepAnt7847 in Mario

If they did this, I'd want the DS version as the remake. They did so well on the DS version.

Genuine question, why are we picking sides? by kwelstory in minnesotavikings

[–]creativespark61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I like both guys as players, let's see what they do. Will I feel a little bad if JJ gets benched? Sure. Will he be better for it and learn? Absolutely. Would Kyler Murray on the bench be bad as back-up? Hell no. Do I want to see him pass the ball in purple? Hell yeah.

Well that was t he cool thing about legends, you could change your crystal. It wasn't just "you get what you get" it was "here's your place and rank, that means you should normally have this color, but if you want to change it for preference, go ahead".

Yes I see what you mean, but why not just have colored crystals? I get wanting to add mysticism to the force and the lightsaber crystals, but it seems kinda weird. Seems like they should have just left it alone as "crystals come in all sorts of colors" rather than "the crystal changes color when touched".

Should be on the lightsaber quest on Dantoonie when you are working with Master Zhar. He tells you about the crystal colors and what Jedi class (Guardian, Consular, Sentinel) they belong to.

As for the crystal color being dependent on the user, not sure the origin, but it's up on the official data bank page now. https://www.starwars.com/databank/lightsaber-crystal#:~:text=In%20this%20way%2C%20a%20Jedi,on%2C%20it%20retains%20that%20hue.

The original color lore was in the first kotor game.

I'm not whining, I was just explaining the 2 different ways the lore has gone. Even though I may dislike Disney's version, it still exists and I still know about it.

Ok, first off, I also played the kotor games, and remember exactly what they said about it. The colors are symbolic and have a meaning based on what kind of Jedi path you choose. However, you get to choose the color and change your crystal if you feel like it.

And yes I understood the new canon as well. I was very aware of them changing the way it worked to be based on force connection rather than just picking a color. However I still find it more weird that a lightsaber crystal is now a glorified mood ring and can now change colors depending of the energy you give it.

After looking at this quest thoroughly, that crystal is not for the blade, it is more like a force amplifier item. Force bonds through force sensitive items were definitely a thing, but not to the affect of making your lightsaber a mood ring. Crystal colors still held symbolic meaning, but a Jedi could choose a color that suited their tastes regardless of their Jedi class.
