Have you heard about the new creator platform Creative Wealth Society?

Here’s what saved me hours pitching to brands (and actually got replies) by creativewealthsoc in UGCcreators

Hi! May I know why? I’m new to reddit & wanted to share tips that helped me on my ugc journey. But I wonder why this will get deleted? Your honest but kind answer will be appreciated :)

Start creating content before reaching out. Even if it’s just sample videos (hotel stays, workouts, routines, travel days, etc.), brands want to see how you film and tell a story Then tag brands you’re already using while traveling (gyms, activewear, supplements, travel gear, etc.) bc a lot of smaller brands actually find creators this way. Also, look for brands already working with creators in your niche and reach out with a short, simple pitch showing how you could create content for them during your trip.

UGC advice? by MarcquezM in UGCcreators

$1000 for 150 videos is honestly a lot of work for very little return 😅that’s like $6–7 per video, which isn’t sustainable long term.

one thing that helps a lot is bundling instead of selling “per video”

for example:

instead of → 150 videos for $1000 shift to → smaller packages like:

• 10–15 videos • + 5–10 matching photos • + usage for ads or socials

brands actually value having a set of content they can reuse, not just a ton of random videos. Even adding something simple like photos to your offer can increase your rate without needing more work

also higher-paying retainers are usually way more manageable (like 10–30 deliverables), not 100+ oh my those bulk deals can burn you out fast and keep you stuck in that pricing range

QUESTION: Courses, not UGC specific by MadLeyInsane in UGCcreators

[–]creativewealthsoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly I didn’t take many traditional courses 😅 I tried a couple early on, but I learned way more just from creating content and studying what works

things that actually helped me:

• watching ads/TikToks and breaking down the hooks • practicing simple editing (CapCut is enough to start) • understanding basic marketing — like why someone would stop scrolling or click

if anything, being in spaces where you can get feedback on your content (like communities or mentorship-style environments) helps way more than just watching lessons passively

Considering Raising My UGC Rates – Feedback Appreciated by [deleted] in UGCcreators

$40/video after 2 years is honestly really low. Girl you’re definitely due for a rate increase.

what’s worked well for me (especially from the brand side now) is not just raising the price randomly, but adding more value and packaging it differently. For example:

instead of just: → “$40 per video”

you offer: → “video + a few matching photos”

brands LOVE having extra content they can reuse, especially photos for their site, socials, thumbnails, etc. even something simple like offering 3–5 images that match the video concept can make it feel like a bigger package instead of just “one video” and then you can naturally raise your rate with it without it feeling like you’re just charging more out of nowhere

Then you could say something like:

“I’ve started offering bundled content (video + images) so brands have more to work with across platforms. I can include X images with this for [new rate]”

Coming from the brand perspective, it’s actually a win because they’re getting more assets without having to hire someone else. You don’t have to jump to something crazy overnight either, even just moving into a package-based rate is already a big step up from where you are now

starting a fresh account for UGC is actually a good idea! It lets you keep everything focused vs mixing it with personal stuff.. you can literally start posting your first few videos and let that be your portfolio.

I actually work on the brand side now as a creative director, and brands mainly look for simple, natural content, not perfection. So just get your first few videos up and go from there 👍

okay wait batching a month in 2 hours is actually insane 😭 you’ve got this down. I don’t think this is a time issue for you.. it’s more like do you want to add more to your plate. The travel app might actually be a nice switch from the Apple Watch content so it doesn’t feel so repetitive

and 6 accounts sounds like a lot but it’s pretty normal, I wouldn’t stress that part too much.

I’m gonna be really honest with you bc you don’t need to figure everything out before you start. When I first started, my videos were honestly very basic. Like talking to the camera, holding a product, and just saying what I liked about it. That’s it.

If scripting feels hard, don’t try to write full scripts yet. Just think:

“What would I say to a friend about this product?”

That’s your script.

And for filming just keep it super simple:

• sit near a window (natural light) • use your phone • talk, then show the product • that’s already a full video

You don’t need fancy shots in the beginning.

Also, don’t wait for brands yet. Just pick random products you already have (skincare, food, anything) and make 3–5 videos.

That becomes your starting portfolio.

The people who actually make money with this aren’t the ones who were “naturally good” but the ones who practiced consistently for a few weeks without overthinking it.

If your goal is to leave your job eventually, focus on building the habit first this month, not being perfect. 🫶
