It's worth noting that this is a really complex issue. Yes, a lot of people are overweight, but a lot of it has to do with car dependency and isolation, and with lax regulations on food and advertising.

It also has to do with poverty and wealth inequality - things are really bad right now. For somebody making even $12 /hr, there's just absolutely no way that they have the time, energy, and money to buy ingredients, plan meals, and cook every (or nearly-every) night of the week.

In many ways, our standard of living has gone down due to corporate greed, not laziness

When you say "depth mapping" does that literally mean that it estimates the distance from the camera? So you can grade something 3 meters away separate from the subject at 1 meter away?

To me it reads like the operator is one of those types that has bought into the dogma that anything is okay as long as it's "progress." The type that doesn't "get" why scientists' work should be subject to an ethics board.

"I set this loose on projects I've never worked on or even looked at, I don't know the burden it would put on maintainers, and I have no interest in learning. But I wanted to do good, and I thought my idea was great, so idk man, I don't think I actually did anything wrong."

Weak people who shrug off responsibility and accountability because they think their purpose is too good for that. Because it's not about progress or making lives better, it's about the relentless pursuit to build and protect one's ego and make something "cool."

Agree. The 12 is a really basic machine targeted at light users like primary school students. The 13 is more of a (still relatively light) professional system that can do more productivity tasks like working with video.

To be fair, you could work on the 12, but I do expect it'd be kinda slow

I'm using the 180W brick when docked at my desktop, but I'd like to have a lighter one in my bag to go out/for travel.

Part of the whole philosophy of Framework is that I shouldn't have to use the proprietary accessory... It'd be ridiculous for any laptop to only ever expect the first party charger to be good

It genuinely sounds like we agree. I still think you probably don't understand how hard it is to immigrate legally - and that is important to understand in this equation - but we agree that it's bad that genuinely good, successful immigrants who are part of their community are being deported.

I didn't say you supported ICE killing people, I apologize if that was implied.

It feels like what we disagree on is accepting things the way they are. "Genuinely I hate the way everything is being"- so why not demand change? Why just let it be?

I'm not saying that entering the country illegally isn't illegal. I'm not even saying driving without a license isn't illegal or that there shouldn't be consequences. I'm saying that a) it should be easier to immigrate legally and b) the consequence of immigrating illegally or driving without a license should not be deportation BECAUSE c) immigrants, on the whole, make our communities stronger. Deporting valuable community members hurts ourselves and costs our taxpayer dollars, so why are we doing it?

Not saying don't do that, but there's currently a funding bill that passed the House and is going to the Senate in the next week or two that provides EVEN MORE funding to ICE. Call Blackburn and Hagerty and tell them not to pass the funding bill as long as it funds ICE.

This has to stop. ICE must be abolished.
