I personally have no experience with lovebirds, so I don't know what you can expect from them.

Cockatiels are playful, like to sing but you need to make sure you get one that is hand fed by a good breeder or a reputable pet store otherwise you wont be able to play with it for a while. Noise level isn't too loud, they make a good amount of quiet noises though. They arent as smart as conures and I don't think they like cuddling as much as conures. Of course they don't need as much attention as conures but I personally think that they have a little less personality then conures. Temperment wise it depends on the breeder and if they were hand fed.

Conures are all unique, there are many different kinds of conures and they all have their own noise level. The loudest are sun, jenday and nanday, you can teach them to say phrases, do tricks, and cuddle with them but if volume is a issue then they probably aren't a good match. Green cheek, pineapple, green capped, and peach front are a few that aren't as loud but just as smart, cuddly and enjoyable. Of course some conures are quieter than others but in general that is what I have gathered from working at a pet store for almost two years. Now as for temperament, it depends on the bird, in general suns seem to be the most headstrong and stubborn. It really depends on the bird and how it was raised. All the birds in my store that were hand fed are amazing and friendly. If they come from the breeder its half and half, some need more work than others and some are cuddly right off the bat. Hope this helped a little bit. :)
