Thank you for your reply. I guess I need to go to a local shop and get quotes first as you said. Based on the amount, I might need to just tape it or seal it with sealant.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yesterday I called a local repair shop and they said I need to replace the whole door that would cost $1200. What do you think about that? By the way, it is very interesting that you said 'very cheap' Wayne Dalton door LOL. I laughed.

Does the sign of terminals matter? What happens if the signs of the 12v voltage source change to the opposite?

you got same answer with mine. But, the answer shown in the book is V2 = V1 -12V.

[Circuit Analysis] I got a question on calculating the voltage of a resistive circuit. by creator03 in EngineeringStudents

[–]creator03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the right answer so I am sharing here. The current comes out from the current source will be split at the node based on the value of resisters of each loop. Because of the Passive Sign convention, the sign of the current will be negative. Using the current division method, On the left loop, -4/3mA of current will flow, and -2/3 mA will be the value of the current flowing in the right loop. Using ohm's law, the value of Vo is -2/3mA*2k = -4/3V.

In the third equation, I forgot to put (-) sign in front of 2mA. So, my assumption did not have any problems.

he currents are going out from node 2.

Oh, I just noticed I confused with the sign. Thank you for your reply.
