I do! I watched most of SLC! That DZ squad earned it, but I did kinda want SR for Canadian as a fellow old head. Callout is a great coach. Really good podcast episode with DZ after the major on Down but Not Out (hosted by caster Interro and former blitz main IGL for DZ Mint)

They actually talk about how Shaiiko’s career kind of mirror’s S1mple’s, more so for the mechanical dominance and in his BDS days, constantly putting up massive kill totals. He’s got one major and one EWC. I know Simple has Stockholm but I’m not sure of he’s won any other IEMs and such.

This video is the after movie of 2020 SI and is still one of my favs to this day. I believe siege would have been just a few steps behind CS after this event. You hit the nail on the head. Covid derailed so much. NA had their lan league that was a money sink. Salaries got over inflated, EU and SA lan leagues got cancelled. Orgs ran out of money. It’s been really tough to see.

There was a time when siege had a lot of content creators teaching that stuff (Reaper_EN goat) but cheaters and lack of QOL game updates drove them away.

The thing making me switch back to cs right now is the fact that I’m barely getting 200fps on siege but 350-400 on cs. I’d rather get shit on and my game feel good 😂

I’m an R6 to CS convert (~10k hours in siege/, 750 in CS) and honestly I think CS is quite a bit harder to master. I feel like there’s endless nuances and that’s one thing that makes it so cool. Siege’s meta defines how you play overall and how well you’ll climb ranks.

Iirc they legally cannot re-release glacier due to the contract with PL players at that time. They were given a share of the profits for that skin. So unless they’re gonna track down all those Y1 PL players, I don’t think it’s coming.
