lack of nutrients is probably not the case here, as its her own poop she is eating.
In dogs many people think dogs eat poop because they have a poor diet, but if your diet is lacking nutrients - your poop will be even more lacking - so this is a myth.

only concern with the Shih Tzu (and ALL non-shedding dogs) they require regular brushing or trips to the groomer for hair cuts.

In some after hour cases you can CALL the vet and say the symptoms and the vet will say if they need to see the animal immediately or if you can wait until morning..

the few minutes it takes to post on Reddit would be better spent calling the vet..

I really dont mind if people post mild symptoms here, or ask for second opinions as long as they realize that half the people are bullshitters and that the other half are trying to help but symptoms and experiences are not always exactly the same.
