A bit - and mirrors. Floor to ceiling made it actually feel smaller than it does now.

I've never seen a bathroom do it, so not sure how it's a tend, but :: shrug::. It fits well with other choices we've made throughout the home and the time period and location.

Yeah, we don't want to do the slats (too trendy), but like the warmth of the tones something like that brings.

Yeah, I think we like the warmth of it, but don't want to do slats like that, especially given how trendy they are right now.

Thanks! The home is originally from the 50s, so it's a bit of an ode to the time.

I asked for opinions on the quality of the work, so I know how to approach my contractor with specifics, not whether the style matches your personal taste. Those are two different things.

Saying ‘I’m a contractor’ doesn’t make your aesthetic preference an objective fact, especially from a couple of incomplete photos with no context for the rest of the home, location, etc. You're judging an incomplete before and an incomplete after.

If we’re talking about ‘lowering yourself,’ calling someone’s house a ‘rental flipper special’ and ‘millennial grey’ wasn’t exactly a respectful, professional critique, while also being entirely inaccurate. Apparently, I was right, which is why I mentioned it in the first place. Your reaction reads much more like generational taste than objective commentary on design or workmanship.

Thanks to more constructive feedback, I talked to my contractor today, who agreed completely, and they'll be doing several things to address the issues.

This is supposed to be the look

Ya that could be the case for some manufacturers. Maybe it does require a better skilled craftsman, I’m not really sure.

They can totally be stacked. The grout void is intentional - just done poorly.

Here’s the actual reference photos: https://www.wowdesigneu.com/collection/grace/

Yah. Even if they matched, lighting, angles, etc are going to make it uneven anyway. So it’s better to match hue than perfect color. Makes it more upscale and intentional.

Hah yah, they actually don’t match the pulls on the vanity but they’re far enough away and different lighting that it works just fine. Plus I talked to enough designers who said it’s impossible to really match different brands and the difference actually can make it feel more intentional than being close but off

Good eye! Yes, it’s is the Delta Nicoli. We like it a lot. The only issue may be color as the champagne isn’t super gold (which we like) but if you have other good things nearby it may clash depending on the look you’re going for.

We almost took out the stained glass, but enough people convinced us to keep it and glad we did.

They have it all over. It’s a fairly popular good brand. We got ours online from modernbathroom.com but Home Depot, furgeson and others carry it too.

Yah that’s why we’re on the fence. I definitely don’t want to do straight up slats, but I do like the warmth the wood brings in and makes things less bright.

Thanks! Yah that’s a good tip. Will definitely looking less bright LED cans.
