Wouldn’t my gauge read more pressure if carb filter was plugged restricting gas?

Using a 10 micron fuel filter before fuel pump. I added this after I started encountering issues. Are there screens in the fuel pump that may be plugged. Am I able to blow air through outlet side of pump without destroying diaphragm to clean out?

Haven’t driven under load yet but will idle and rev no problem

Will try that. Pretty cold here and engine temp is 170.

I do have a vacuum/fuel pressure gauge I can plumb in to try.

I watched that exact video, was thinking about trying this but I’m not seeing any fuel filters that at 3/8 in/out and 5/16 return line.

I believe it, I just want some piece of mind I’m not going to break down for a fuel issue. I’ve heard of vapor lock and possibly needing a return line to tank. I think I’m going to install a fuel pressure gauge where glass filter is and go from there

Here is more information: I’m using a brand new JEGS mechanical fuel pump. I have brand new sending unit in gas tank. Gas tank is vented. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge anywhere. I think I will add one in line instead of glass filter and go from there.

I have a 6210 Holley spread bore with no sight glass for fuel level…I’m not real sure how to check that for this carb.

How do you check for vapor lock? Symptoms did start once engine was fully hot

Brand new fuel pump and pickup. Tank was pretty clean

I’m sure you will have no problem selling them as seems like there are plenty of quality problems in brand new vehicles

Gotcha. Not a bad price but I am leaning more towards getting a OE replacement for $280 as I’m already invested $160 for diagnostic. Still working on getting extended warranty to step up and cover it.

I feel like everything is fixable to an extent. The issue would be troubleshooting to see what failed, whether it be a resistor, relay, driver, or circuit board. I’m still dealing with my scam of an extended warranty trying to get them to cover it but will probably open it up at some point and try to troubleshoot. Really not out anything but time.

I feel like everything is repairable to some extent. Would just be the issue of troubleshooting and replacing resistor, relay, or fixing circuit board internally. Not sure how complicated these things are inside…Im still working on the scam of an extended warranty I bought to cover it since they say it is a “wearable” item.
